Lavender giggled, kissing her nose.

Maeve blushed, giggling. She snuggled close, head resting on Lavender’s shoulder. Someone knocked on the door.

Lavender held her close, looking up at her door. "Come in."

Maeve smiled, snuggling closer. One of Lavender’s siblings walked in. Maeve looked between the sibling and Lavender.

Lavender held her close. "Hey, Dylan." She smiled. "What's up?"

Maeve looked between them as they spoke.
‘Who’s this?’ Dylan asked. ‘And mother wants you to work your shift in the bakery.’ -
"This is Maeve, and tell her I'll be down there in half an hour."

'She says now,' Dylan said, looking between Maeve and Lavender, very suspicious of their relationship.

Lavender sighed, looking at Maeve. She pretended not to notice Dylan staring. "Do you want to stay and wait for my shift to end, or would you rather just go back home?"

‘I can stay. I don’t want Chester to find me and find out I was wagging,’ Maeve said, sitting up slightly.

Lavender smiled. "Alright." She stood up, offering Maeve her hand.

Maeve took her hand with a smile and stood up.

Dylan rolled his eyes and walked out. Lavender took her downstairs.

Maeve followed, giggling at the look on Dylan's face.
