Caleb looked over. He wanted to bug him to eat something else, but Victor was there, so he didn’t. ‘So, er, how have you two been today?’ He didn’t like the quiet.

"Good." Richard shrugged. Victor didn't answer.

‘That’s good.’

"Yeah." Richard looked over at Victor. "Father?"

Caleb glanced at them.

"Caleb asked a question..." Victor just looked up from his food, not saying anything.

Caleb arched an eyebrow at him.

Richard gave up, giving Caleb an apologetic look.

Caleb just shrugged and returned to his food.

Richard waited for Caleb to finish.

Caleb eventually finished his food.

Richard stood up, and walked out, looking back for a moment to check if Caleb was following.

Caleb didn’t know whether to follow or not.

Richard wanted him to, but he walked off when he realized Caleb wasn't.

Caleb got up a few seconds after.
