“You won’t,” Evan said, shaking his head. “I know you, you’ll make it.”

Connor smiled, nodding a little. "Hell yeah, I'll make it~"

“Don’t say it like that-“ Evan said with a giggle, glancing over to Connor.

Connor chuckled, holding Evan closer and kissing his cheek.

”Connor, stop, breathe,” Evan said, grabbing Connor’s hand. “This was totally out of your control- you did what you could-“

"I don't f---ing care, I- I want her back," Connor spoke in between shaky sobs, tears rolling down his cheeks.

“I know you do,” Evan said softly. “C’mon, breathe, let’s go sit in the car-“

Connor let out a shaky breath and nodded, furiously rubbing his tears away. He shakily pulled his car keys out of his pocket, almost dropping them as he unlocked the car.

“Here, I’ll take the keys,” Evan said, holding his hand out.

Connor handed Evan the keys, sniffling softly as he rubbed his eyes again.

Evan put them in his pocket, climbing into the backseat of the car. “C’mere, baby-“

Connor sniffled again and climbed into the backseat, clinging to Evan and burying his face in his chest.

“I’m so sorry, honey, this isn’t your fault-“ Evan said softly, holding Connor close.
