A soft chuckle slipped out of Mazarine's lips as she guided Charlotte through the reefs in the shallow end, leading her deeper.
"Don't panic, you'll be fine," she reassured with a kind smile, clasping onto the girl's hand as she brought her along. "I can grant people the ability to breathe in water, I just don't use it often. The majority of humans don't deserve use of such a power." -
Charlotte nodded, her eyes darting around her as she tried to take in all this new information. “Well, it’s nice to hear I won’t drown down here,” she spoke, giggling softly. She glances back up towards the surface, exhaling shakily. “I still can’t believe they just, dumped me down here…”

"Humans are sadistic, merciless creatures. I apologize for the horrid actions of your father and brother, you didn't deserve such treatment," Mazarine replied, pursing her lips gently in thought. "Although unless you truly wish to, you won't have to leave here. You'll find that the residents of the ocean are far kinder."
Through the quick travels of the goddess, they reach the palace in no time at all, surrounded by many creatures, from jellyfish, to vampire squid, and many more. Mazarine greets various creatures with a warm grin while passing by, and they reply with sweet greetings, and small talk. Little 'hellos,' 'how is it goings,' and the like. -
“I suppose so,” Charlotte spoke, a small smile reappearing on her face. She looked around as they traveled through the water, staying close beside the goddess as she nervously took in her surroundings. As much as she found this place to be beautiful and fascinating, it was also quite overwhelming. “So, I’m just- staying here? With you?”

"If you wish, yes. I wouldn't say that the palace is exactly massive, but it's pretty spacious, and there's most definitely a suite for you if you'd like it." Mazarine stated, bringing Charlotte to the doorstep. Two Manatees float at the pearl doors, opening them with a nod as they greet the two girls.

“Why, thank you~” Charlotte spoke, smiling at Mazarine. “That’s- that’s very sweet of you~”

"Of course, it's the least I can do after you were given up." She led Charlotte through the palace, bringing the girl to a door, when which opened, revealed an untouched bedroom. "This will be where you'll stay, here on the first floor. I sleep in the right tower, although I spend most of my time out and about. Feel free to come up to my room, if you ever need me," Mazarine gave her an alluring smile a she spoke.

“Wow, it’s so fancy,” Charlotte spoke softly as she walked into the room, a small smile on her face.

"Indeed, but you'll for sure get used to it." Mazarine stated warmly. "Have I told you that I adore your hair? It's wonderfully beautiful, especially under the water like this."

Charlotte blushed red, giggling softly. “Thank you~” She spoke with a smile, running a hand through her hair. “I really like your hair, as well- And your makeup, it’s so pretty~”

Biting her lip softly, Mazarine's smile grew bigger from the compliment. "Thank you so much, I tried something a little new for me today." She leaned softly against the pearl doorframe as she spoke, holding eye contact.

“Well, it looks lovely~” Charlotte spoke with a smile, tucking stray strands of hair behind her ear.
