Clay shot up and fixed his hair in a panic, trying to look like he wasn’t just making out with someone.

George scurried under the bed just as Clay’s mom opened the door and walked inside.

“Mom- Hey, what uhm, what’s up?” Clay asked nonchalantly, pulling out his phone.

“How was the ball? What princesses did you like?” She asked quickly.

"It- It was fine, I suppose," Clay said with a hint of nervousness as he avoided the second question.

“How were the princesses?” She urged again, sitting next to him on the bed.
