Mason gave a small smile, finishing off his coffee.

Chris smiled back lovingly at Mason, turning back to his breakfast making.

Mason smiled back happily.

Chris hummed softly, soon finishing making the eggs and starting on the bacon.

Mason looked around the house. He pulled out his phone, which had been buzzing with texts from his parents. He grimaced.

Chris moved the eggs onto a plate and told Tristan to get Justin, watching Mason. “Everything okay, baby?” He asked softly, leaning against the counter in front of him.

Mason forced a smile and nodded, closing his phone.

“You sure, hun?” Chris asked softly, getting the bacon put into the air fryer.

Mason nodded again, giving a weak smile. He turned his phone on sleep mode.

Chris frowned a little, watching Mason for a moment before turning on the air fryer. He set out plates for Tristan and Justin, moving over to Mason. He hugged him from behind, kissing the back of his neck. “Do you have to leave soon?” He asked softly, hugging him close.

'Yeah, soon,' Mason mumbled, looking down and leaning into his touch.

Chris nodded, pressing gentle kisses on the back of Mason’s neck. “You wanna lay down for a bit after we eat?”

Mason gave a small smile, leaning into his touch, relaxing slightly. 'Yes please.'

Chris smiled and hugged Mason closer, kissing his head with a smile.

Mason relaxed against him, smiling.
