Jordan didn’t reply as he walked out of the apartment, slamming the door behind him.

Mason collapsed on the couch, sobbing. He grabbed his phone with shaky hands and texted Chris. Could you come back over?

Tears streamed down Mason’s face as he sobbed quietly, burying his face in his hands. After he calmed down a little, he poured himself a glass of wine and downed it, then texted Chris. Hey, could you come back over? -
Chris hopped out of his car and was heading back to his s---ty apartment when he got a text from Mason.

minutes to change and ill be

Mason poured himself another glass and took a sip, then buried his face in his hands and cried. -
Chris quickly headed into his apartment and changed clothes, heading back out to his car and going to Mason’s apartment. He parked his car and walked to his door, knocking on it.

Mason downed his wine before stumbling over and opening the door.

“Hey, Mason- Woah-“ Chris paused, looking Mason up and down. “Are- Are you okay? What happened??”

‘He broke up with me,’ Mason said with a shaky voice, wiping his eyes. He took a step back to let Chris in.

“He- Your boyfriend? f---, I’m so sorry, Mason,” Chris said softy, entering his apartment. “I- I hope it wasn’t because of me, I’d feel so bad-“

Mason shook his head, sitting back down and pouring himself another glass. ‘He was being a dickhead,’ he mumbled, trying not to overthink it too much.

“Yeah, he definitely was being kind of an ass to you earlier,” Chris said, following Mason. “How many glasses have you had?” He asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

‘I dunno. I haven’t been counting,’ Mason said, then downed the glass.

“Maybe you should take a break-“ Chris said, reaching for the bottle of wine.
