“Because the owners of the camps hate each other, and don’t allow anyone who works, or volunteers for them to fraternize with the enemy,” Liam replied as he grabbed Jared’s hand, heading towards the cafe. “Yeah, the last time someone got caught sneaking out, they were fired and kicked out on the spot. Caused a lot of drama for them, too, which kind of sucks because he was a really cool dude,” Michael replied, and Jared nodded in agreement.

“Ah, that’s makes more sense,” Evan said with a chuckle. f---, well that’s not helpful- “Come back here! Not everybody’s out yet-“

“Womp womp, they can catch up,” Jared said, looking back at Evan. “Jared, be nice, we can wait,” Liam said, stopping his walking and pulling Jared back. He groaned but listened, staying by his side. The rest of the kids soon walked out, and they started heading towards the cafe.

Evan hummed as they walked, turning on the speaker attatched to his backpack and turning some music. “Any requests? Clean requests, please-“

“PLAY SOME SZA-“ “Shut the f--- up, Michael,” Jared groaned, rubbing his face with his free hand. “Ooh, play some Coldplay!” Liam said, smiling. “Boo, that’s boring,” Michael whined, crossing his arms.

“Hey, language,” Evan said with a chuckle, pulling out his phone and queuing up songs from everyone they mentioned.

“Please don’t play SZA for him,” Jared said with a sigh, making Liam laugh softly. “Play something from Hamilton or something-“ “Pfft- you’re such a theatre kid, Jared,” Michael teased as they walked, chuckling. “Hey, theatre’s cool! I mean, I’m not apart of it because I can’t sing or dance, but I like watching musicals~” Liam said, smiling.

“I’ll play one song of each, guys, we have a lot of time to kill during camp listening to music,” Evan said with a laugh, pocketing his phone once he queuing all the songs they mentioned. “But it’s not a long walk to breakfast, so you’ll be fine-“ -

“Fine, fine,” Michael said, sighing. “Y’know, I’m still pissed I wasn’t put in the same cabin as Jeremy-“ “Your boyfriend,” Jared teased with a smirk, earning an eye roll from the blushing teen. “Just because I’m gay, doesn’t mean every guy I’m friends with is my boyfriend.” Liam nodded, smiling at Michael. “I mean, me and Jared are best friends, but we’re not automatically dating-“ -
“Do you have a boyfriend, though?” Evan asked with a grin, glancing at Jared.

Jared blushed red, looking away. “N-No! I- I don’t even like guys!” “He’s in denial, don’t mind him~” Michael teased, patting his back. He groaned, leaning against Liam’s side. The blonde giggled, letting go of his hand and wrapping his arm around his shoulder. “Do you like guys, Mr. Evan?” Liam asked, glancing over at his counselor.

Evan chuckled, shrugging. “Yeah- Yeah, I do- also, just call me Evan? I’m not that much older than you-“ He said awkwardly, chuckling.

“Sorry, I will~” Liam said with a smile, nodding. “Wait, so is it a guy who gave you the hickey-“ “Y’know what, I could see that-“ Liam sighed, rolling his eyes as the two boys went back to guessing which counselor it was that gave him the hickey.

“You could see that??” Evan said, stifling a laugh. “Jeez, guys, are you saying I look that gay??”

“No, but you look like a straight guy who actually turned out to be gay,” Michael stated, chuckling. “Plus, you stand kinda gay, so I can see it-“ Jared busted out laughing, holding onto Liam to not fall over. “PFFT- That’s so real, honestly.”
