Lawrence shifted positions in his sleep, pulling Briar closer.

Briar smiled and pressed a kiss on Lawrence’s head, soon falling asleep with him in his arms.

Briar exhaled softly, sighing. “God, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder,” he said with a small smile, glancing over at Lawrence, “now that I’m not king anymore.” -

Lawrence smiled, wrapping an arm around him. ‘I’m happy for you, love. You need to be less stressed.’ -
Briar giggled softly, leaning against Lawrence’s side. “Definitely. And it makes it even better seeing my father’s face, funniest f---ing thing ever~”

Lawrence chuckled, kissing the side of his head. ‘Now, that was amazing. He looked so pissed,’ he laughed.

“Literally-“ Briar giggled softly, leaning into Lawrence’s side. “I wonder what my mother would think, me giving up the throne to be with you.” He exhaled, looking down at the floor. “I hope I’m not making the wrong decision-“

‘Hey, stop that. You’re not making the wrong decision. You should do what you want with your life,’ Lawrence said, kissing his cheek.

“I know, I- I just don’t want to disappoint anyone,” Briar murmured, exhaling softly. “I mean, I doubt she would be disappointed in me, but-“ He sighed softly, running a hand through his hair.

‘Honey, you’re not disappointing anyone. I promise. I’m proud of you, and your mother would be too,’ Lawrence said softly, playing with the ends of his hair.

Briar exhaled before nodding, a small smile on his face.

Lawrence kissed the side of his head.

Briar hugged Lawrence close, pressing a short kiss on his lips.

Lawrence blushed, grinning. He kissed Briar’s forehead. ‘What now, cutie?’
