“Oh, gosh,” Nick said softly, carefully wrapping his arms around the blonde and seeing if he had any reaction to it. George stood by the door, watching to two and staying silent.

Clay tensed in his arms for a moment before relaxing a little, sobbing quietly in Nick's arms.

“You’re okay, Clay, they’re gone,” Nick said softly, rubbing his friends back. “Breathe, breathe, they’re gone. They can’t hurt you-

Clay began calming down a bit, his sobs subsiding and his hands relaxing some. He tried to take more deep breaths, closing his eyes as he pulled himself together. He sat up a little, exhaling shakily as he rubbed his eyes. "I- I'm sorry..."

“Hey, it’s okay, it’s okay,” Nick said softly, shaking his head. “Dont be sorry, it’s not your fault. If anything, I should be sorry, we shouldn’t have let you in here by yourself-“

"But I shouldn't have just- Sat there and taken it!" Clay exclaimed, anger in his voice. "I-" He exhaled, rubbing his face with his hands. "Let's just go home..."

“What? Clay- Oh my God, don’t blame yourself for that,” Nick said, shaking his head. “You just sat there crying- you can’t blame yourself for that-“

"Please, Nick-" Clay exhaled shakily, lowering his hands. "Let's go..."

Nick watched him for a moment before nodding, holding out his hand to help Clay up.

Clay took Nick's hand and stood, exhaling softly. He crossed his arms over his chest, walking over to the door.

“I’m really sorry that happened to you-“ George said softly as Clay approached, opening the door behind him and backing out of it.

Clay watched George for a moment, ducking his head as he walked off. He made his way out of the house and over to his car, getting in the driver's seat.

George frowned, sharing a look with Nick as they followed him out to the car. “Are you sure you’re okay to drive?” Nick asked gently, climbing into the passenger seat.

"Yeah, I- I'm fine," he murmured softly, buckling up and starting the car.

Nick also bucked up, and George did too. “Dude, if your not, it’s seriously okay- like, it’s okay to not be okay after that.”
