(ngl, i wanna do a thing like, nick’s having a bad day, he misses lucy or just feels really s--- abt the drama online abt him now, then goes to the same restaurant he went to with lucy and karl ends up being his server again and they have a moment- u^u) -

Nick looked longingly at the outside of the diner he had gone to with Lucy for their first date. He took a shaky breath, turning the car off and stepping out, walking inside.

Karl hummed as he cleaned off the table he stood at, looking up when he heard the front door of the restaurant open the the hostess greet the person walking in. His eyes widened and he blushed a little, seeing the guy he was just a few weeks ago enter. He quickly walked back into the kitchen where he almost ran into Alex, who was getting ready for his next guest. “Let me serve the next guy-“ He said quickly, stopping his friend as he grabbed his notepad. “Wh- Dude, what?” “Thanks, Alex!” He said as he backed out of the kitchen, smiling. “Dude, what the f----“

Nick forced a smile, following the host to a table. Not the same one as he was at with Lucy, but somewhat close. The allegations on twitter had gotten worse, and people had started to believe it. And Nick just felt like s--- about it.

Karl walked over to Nick’s table, smiling at him. “Welcome back~” He said with a smile, watching the ravenette. He furrowed his brows a little, seeing the upset look on his face. “Not with your girlfriend?”
(just a heads up, i’ll be gone here in a bit, got rehearsals tonight for a few hours-
i should be back soon, around 7:30-8:00?) -

Nick’s smile fell a little bit, shaking his head. “Nah, it didn’t last long.” He said, glancing down at the menu, even though he knew what he wanted. “You were right, actually-“ he said, chuckling awkwardly. -

“Damn- I’m sorry,” Karl said, a sympathetic smile on his face. “What can I start you off with to drink?” -
“All good, sorry, don’t mean to dump it on you,” Nick said with an awkward chuckle. “Uh, I’ll have a coke, and is it okay if I order now? I know what I want-“

“No, it’s fine! I’ve been told I’m a good person to vent to~” Karl spoke, smiling at Nick. “And yeah, of course- What can I getcha?”

“Uh, I think I’ll have that cheeseburger, and make it a double,” Nick said with a soft smile, closing his menu.

Karl smiled, nodding. “You got it~” He replied, jotting down the order. “You want fries with it, too? Because let me tell you, the fries here? So good~”

“Yeah, I would love that, actually,” Nick said with a smile, nodding.

Karl smiled and nodded, adding it to Nick’s order. “I’ll be out with your drink in just a moment,” he said, closing the notepad. “Let me know if you need anything~” He added before turning, walking off to give the cooks his order.
