Nick sighed leaning back in his seat. “I’m sorry for ignoring you guys.”

“It’s okay, I get it,” Clay said, glancing at Nick through the rearview mirror for a second. “Been there,” he added with an awkward chuckle, looking back at the road.

“It was really s---ty of me,” Nick said softly, rubbing his face.

“Yeah, a little, but hey, who am I to judge?” Clay said, shrugging a little.

Nick chuckled a little, rubbing his eyes. “I’m just sick of this.”

“You’re telling me,” Clay said with a chuckle, running a hand through his hair.

“Sorry that you need to deal with us now,” Nick said to George, giggling.

“Yeah, sorry, babe~” Clay said with a chuckle, resting a hand on George’s thigh and rubbing it gently for a moment.

George giggled a little, shaking his head. “You’re fine, don’t worry.”

They soon arrived at his house and Clay parked the car, unbuckling and getting out of the car.

George climbed out, opening the door for Nick and holding his arms out. “C’mere, Nick-“ he said hugging him once he climbed out. “I’m so sorry this is happening to you.”

Clay walked over and wrapped his arms around both the boys, rubbing Nick’s back.

Nick took a shaky breath, gripping George’s shirt a little. “God, I feel like s----“
