“I know, I know,” Nick said with a chuckle, pulling into Lucy’s driveway. “Alright guys, gotta go- I might talk to you afterwards.” “Might?” “Bye~” Nick said with a giggle, hanging up after he parked. -

“Well, that was rude of him-“ Clay said with a quiet chuckle as the phone hung up, curling closer to George on the couch. Lucy peeked out her bedroom window, seeing Nick’s car pull up. “Ugh, he’s here already- I got to go, Sara, I’ll call you back and let you know how terribly it goes~” She said with a giggle, hanging up on her friend. She moved back to her makeup, finishing up the last touches. -

“Seriously,” George said with a giggle, hugging Clay close. Nick parked the car, climbing out and heading up her front walkway to the front door. He rang the doorbell, bringing out his phone as he waited. -
“I’m glad he’s found someone he likes, but I just-“ Clay groaned softly, resting his head on George’s shoulder. “I have this nagging feeling that, maybe she’s not what Nick thinks…” Lucy gave herself a quick check in the mirror before rushing downstairs, slipping on a pair of sandals to match her flowy skirt and tank top. She opened the door, smiling at Nick. “Hey~”

“Let’s give her the benefit of the doubt, okay?” George said softly, running a hand through Clay’s hair. “She seems to be making Nick really happy, so.” “Holy s---, you look good,” Nick said with a grin, pocketing his phone and crossing his arms.

“Fine,” Clay said softly, curling closer to George. “I guess you’re right,” he added, lifting his head a little and kissing George’s cheek. “Thanks! You do, too~” Lucy said with a small smile, grabbing a small purse and sticking her phone in it. “I’m ready to go when you are~”

“I always am~” George said with a giggle, admiring Clay for a second.
“Yeah, of course, let go,” Nick said with chuckle, stepping out of the way to let Lucy go. -
Clay chuckled softly, hugging George close. “And I mean, if he’s happy, I’m happy. He deserves a nice girl who’ll treat him right, especially with everything going on with him-“ He cut himself off, freezing up. f---. Lucy smiled and stepped out, pulling out her keys and locking the front door. She turned and headed to Nick’s car, humming softly. “Ooh, nice car~”

George furrowed his brows, frowning a little. “What’s going on with Nick?”
Nick grinned, flipping his keys in his hand. “Thanks~ bought it myself,” he said proudly, as he opened the passenger door for her. -
“Uhh- Nothing-“ Clay spoke, a nervous smile on his face. “Ooh, a hard worker, I see~” Lucy said with a giggle, thanking him and climbing into the car. She buckled up, looking around for a moment. Eh, I’ve seen better, she thought with an eye roll, sending a text to her friend.

George raised an eyebrow, frowning a little bit. “You seem so suspicious, babe-“ “Yeah, I’m trying to save up a bit,” Nick said with a smile, moving around the car into the driver seat.

“Sorry, sorry, it’s just- I don’t think Nick wants me to say,” Clay said with a sigh, hiding his face in George’s shoulder for a moment. “I’m also saving up, I need to get some work done on my own car,” Lucy said with a small smile, brushing her bangs out of her face. “I still don’t know why I insisted on getting a Jeep, since they break down so often. But they’re cute, so I can deal with it~”

“Oh, okay,” George said with a nod. “Just say that, dude. I don’t mind.” “s---, you’ve got a Jeep?” Nick said with a smile, backing out of her driveway. “These are sick. Do you take the doors and stuff off in the summer?”

“But I don’t him to get mad at me!” Clay exclaimed, lifting his head up. “Yeah, that’s one reason why I got them~” Lucy said with a giggle, nodding. “Definitely makes driving in the heat a little less hot, in my opinion~“

George furrowed his brows. frowning a little. “No- I mean, just say he wouldn’t want you to say anything. I don’t need to know-“
“So real,” Nick said with a chuckle, nodding. “I was lucky I got good AC in this car- because I’d be dying otherwise.”
