“Fair,” Nick shrugged, following suit and grabbing a drink before following Karl and finding a table to sit at for a moment.

Karl followed Nick and sat down beside him, taking a sip of his drink. He hummed along to the music that played, digging into his food.

Nick also starting rating once he sat down next to Karl. “So,” He paused, swallowing. “Are you going back tonight or are you staying with me?”

"They said I could stay the night at your place, then I have to go back," Karl replied, taking another bite of his food. "I wish I could stay longer, but I can't."

“No, that’s okay,” Nick shook his head. “I thoughts you be going back tonight, so I’m glad anyways.”

Karl smiled, leaning against Nick's side. He hummed as he listened to the music for a moment, picking up his drink and taking a sip.

Nick stayed silent for a moment before finished off something he had. “Don’t wanna dance? Or are you not done yet?”

"I want to try and finish my food, then we can dance," Karl replied with a smile, taking another bite of his food. "Been trying to work on that, making sure I eat~"

“Okay, that’s good,” Nick said with a smile, nodding in understanding.

Karl smiled and took a few more bites of his food, soon finishing it off. He stood up, leaving his stuff at the table. "Okay, now I'm ready," he said with a chuckle, smiling at Nick and offering him his hand. "Shall we dance~?" -
(gm! hru?)
“We shall~” Nick said, taking Karl’s hand and standing with him. They walked onto the dance floor, a dance circle having formed in the middle by all the teenagers there.

so like- i literally came up with this last night in bed- XD
like, they do the prom king and queen announcments, and either karl or nick gets picked as prom king (doesn't really matter which one, it could work for either) but he only got picked out of pity, it becomes a bit of a scene and then they leave and make themselves feel better by doing their original plan of going to the mall u^u)
