(that's fine !)
"Oh, cool! We found the map!" said Izaiah as he looked at the map and flipped the photograph over. As soon as he saw the picture, he felt an immediate rush of nostalgia. "Oh, I miss my dogs terribly. I left that day to start my archaeology career. Thanks for keeping it there." He stuffed it into his mini backpack and gave Kris a friendly smile. -
-
"I thought you might need it one of these days!" Kris said smiling. She looked at the map, and the surrounding area they were in. "If we go this direction" She pointed to a small area on the map. "It should at least take us close to where we want to be. She noticed a small path carved put by the weathering of time. "Maybe there?" She pointed at the area that she seemed to overlook before. "What do you think?"
-
Izaiah looked at the area that Kris was pointing at. Observing the path, he narrowed his eyes. He noticed a number of footsteps that were pressed into the dirt, which made him feel a little suspicious. "I don't know," he said, "that looks a little unnatural if you take a look at it a tiny bit closer." He shrugged his shoulders at Kris.
-
"Hmmm...." She continued to look at the map. Maybe there was something there she wasn't seeing. She looked at Izaiah, then the area surrounding them. "Maybe you can flip through, and see if I looked over anything!" She said, almost too chipper. Internally she was worried that they wouldn't find this place after all. "Or we could also see where that path takes us?" She wasn't to sure about the path herself, because of the footprints Izaiah had pointed out.
-
Izaiah pondered about it, thinking about both the advantages and the disadvantages of following that path. Curiosity gnawed at his mind, fueling his desire to explore its depths. "Unless we want to cross some huge lake or climb a supermassive mountain," Izaiah started, "I think we should go anyway." He gazed at the pathway, then back at Kris. He was aware that this could pose a threat to them, but the unfamiliar path tempted him with its promise of the unknown.
"But on the bright side, we can decide if we want to follow it or not. We don't absolutely have to." he said, his voice implying that he wasn't trying to force his opinion on Kris. -
Kris looked at him and nodded. "How about we follow it for now, and see where it takes us?" She was excited. She was hoping this would lead them to where they wanted to go, but it was also nice just to get moving again and have a sense of purpose. "We can always veer off if we find something interesting." She stated, putting the notebook back in her bag, and putting the bag over her shoulders. She made her way up the path, noticing beautiful greenery on either side of the trail. She looked behind her at Izaiah. Once they finished this expedition, she knew he would be excited to get back home. Home always felt different after exploring unknown places.

abnormal legends Advanced"Sure," Izaiah said quickly. He grabbed a tiny compass out of his pocket and took a look at it. It pointed straight west. "If we want to come back, then I'll get this compass and we'll go back east." he mentioned.
-
"Sounds good!" she said, trekking further down the path. The sunlight filtered through the leaves on the trees, and created a beautiful sun-laced pattern on the ground below. "So," Kris began. "What made you get into archeological work anyway?" She looked at Izaiah and pondered for a moment. It had never crossed her mind before, but she was curious.
(How do you want them to come across the site they are supposed to be at? I didn't want to write something without asking :3) -
(maybe they find a cave tunnel that they can't go around, and then when they exit the cave and the tunnel ends they find the site?)
Izaiah thought for a moment, digging into his past memories. "Well, I used to watch these adventure movies and cartoons, where they would, like, find treasures and discover new things, and I really wanted to become like those characters. And, one time I went to this nature camp with my friends and we found some ancient carvings. So, I think that's what made me become an archaeologist." -
(Sounds good!)
"Makes sense." She said, following the path even further. "That, and there's always some sort of adventure at the thought if the unknown, especially when you discover something." She remembered what made her want to do this work. Whenever she was younger, ancient civilizations always grabbed her attention. It was the idea of what their style of living was like. How it thrived, and what the similarities and differences were. As her and Izaiah continue to walk, Kris spotted a cave in the distance. It didn't look like it was on the trail, but the trail looked like it was coming to an end. "Hey, look over there!" She said, excitement filling her voice. "Should we check it out?" -
"Ooh, a cave! I've never seen one like this!" Izaiah said, looking at the large, emerging cave. "We should definitely explore it and see what it has to offer." Moments later, Izaiah took out his camera and snapped a few pictures of the cavern.

(I am so sorry for my late response ðŸ˜)
Kris looked at the opening cave, her heart racing. One thing that she loved, but hated about expeditions was enclosed spaces. She didn't like the ideas of being somewhere and not being able to get out. But, at the same time; her and Izaiah had been on this search for almost two years now. She would be damed if she let her nervousness get the better side of her. She walked up to the entrance of the cave, and pulling the notebook out of the bag, and made some notes about their location. "It's beautiful in there for sure!" She could see the reflection of some water along the cave walls, and the walls themselves seem to glisten in the light. -
(it's okay! :D)
"It is beautiful." Izaiah agreed, nodding his head. "Imagine if we got lost in there, though. Navigating our way back out would be like a scene straight from a slapstick comedy movie or something." he continued. After a moment, he took a few steps towards the cave and gestured for Kris to come too. -
(I promise, I will do better with responding 😠Life has gotten a tad crazy)
Kris looked at Izaiah, hesitating for a moment, but moved closer to the entrance of the cave. Despite her better judgment, she looked at Izaiah, a hint of mischievousness in her eyes. "Let's explore it! If it comes to it, I can make us a map,and we'll find our way out that way." She stepped a little further into the entrance of the cave.
