Mahina giggled. ‘I can’t believe you fell for it!’

Ernie rolled his eyes. "I thought it'd be something like a magic flavor or it'd make me teleport for 5 seconds or something!"

Mahina chuckled. ‘Still!’

"Whatever." Ernest laughed. He grabbed a red one. "What's this one do? Turn my hair red?"

‘I dunno. Try it.’

Ernie popped it in his house, staring at his hair to see if it'd turn any redder than it already was before the blue candy.

Mahina watched. She started giggling.

"What?" Ernest kept staring at his hair. It didn't change color one bit.

‘Your eyes!’ Mahina exclaimed. His eyes went from green to a glowing red. ‘It’d look ominous if you didn’t have bright blue hair.’

Ernie laughed. "How long until these wear off?" He asked curiously, not a fan of the idea of having red eyes and blue hair for the rest of the day.

‘About ten minutes,’ Mahina shrugged.

"Alright, not too bad." Ernest chuckled. He handed Mahina a purple one. "Here, you try it."

Mahina winced. ‘I’m genuinely scared,’ she said, taking the piece of candy and popping into her mouth. She frowned. ‘It tastes weird.’

"What does it taste like?" Ernie asked, chuckling as her eyebrows turned bright purple.
