Ernest sighed, giving up on trying to keep her out. She was stubborn, and he didn't want to anyways. "Fine, suit yourself."

Mahina furrowed her brows, trying to hear what they were saying. She only heard small snippets of sentences. ‘What the hell does Callisto have to do with anything?’

Ernie watched her reaction, sighing. He didn't reveal anything though.

Mahina frowned when he didn’t respond. ‘Ernest?’ she asked quietly.
(nooo dammit ;-; SCREW SLEEP but gn!) -
Ernest looked at her before looking back at the floor. "It- I'm sure it's nothing."

Mahina’s frown deepened as she looked at him. ‘Ernest.’

Ernie didn't look her in the eyes. "It's nothing." He said again, quieter this time.

‘It’s not nothing. Tell me.’

"I said it was nothing." Ernest said more firmly. "I... I don't think I'm allowed to tell you."

Mahina frowned, stepping towards him. 'Why?'

"I... I don't really know to be honest. Selene just told me not to tell you." He paused. "Don't tell her I said that."

Mahina frowned. 'Can you tell me what it was? Please?'

Ernie sighed. "If I tell you, what'll you do?"

'Depends on what it is,' Mahina said, folding her arms over her chest.

Ernest sighed. "Fine, just don't let Selene know in case she gets upset that I told you."
