"So uh, anyway." Ernie said shyly. "breakfast?"

‘Oh- yeah,’ Mahina said; standing up.

Ernest stood up, smiling.

Mahina pulled out a light blue dress and walked into the bathroom to change.

Ernie waited out in the hall, trying to keep his thoughts straight.

Mahina got changed in the bathroom, but accidentally put her stockings on back to front because her mind was elsewhere.

Ernie looked at the flowers on the shelf by the front door that Mahina had picked the day before, smiling.

Mahina eventually came out of the bathroom and pulled on her shoes. ‘What do you want for breakfast?’ she asked Ernest.

Ernie looked up, shrugging. "I don't care much, as long as I get some food."

‘Correct answer,’ Mahina chuckled, walking to the kitchen.

Ernest chuckled, following her and leaning against the counter.

‘So slightly burnt eggs and bacon, then?’

Ernie rolled his eyes. "Do they have to be burnt?" He said, but he nodded.

‘Well, it depends if you’d rather undercooked. Because there’s no in between.’

"Fine, I'll take burnt." Ernest chuckled.
