Mahina shrugged. ‘Not sure.’

Ernest chuckled. "Alright."

Mahina smiled. She leaned her head back on his shoulder. Two people were walking into the town. Her face paled. ‘We need to go.’

"Why?" Ernie asked, but he stood up.

Mahina did the same. ‘I’ll tell you later. We need to leave!’

"Alright, where to?" Ernie asked, grabbing her hand.

‘Anywhere,’ Mahina said.

Ernest looked over at the pathway and the forest. "Alright, follow me."

Mahina nodded.

Ernie walked forward to the pathway, looking back to her. "What's wrong?" He asked, noticing she was pale.

‘Nothin’. Everything’s great.’

"Clearly." Ernest mumbled, still walking.

Mahina sighed. ‘I’ll tell you later.’

"Alright. I'm just worried about you." Ernie gave a small smile.

Mahina smiled back. It was hard not to. ‘Thanks, but I’ll be fine.’
