Ernie nodded, rubbing the back of his head nervously, trying to stop his brain from feeling whatever flusteredness he was feeling. It didn't work well. -
Mahina looked away, feeling very warm in the cheeks.
(LOL) -
"Anyways." Ernest laughed/squeaked nervously. "What do you want to do?"

Mahina looked back at him. ‘Well, I need to get some groceries today. Would you like to come?’

"Sure!" Ernie said with a nod.

Mahina nodded. She grabbed a small pouch of coins and tucked it in her pocket, then grabbed her satchel.

Ernest put on his shoes and opened the door for her.

Mahina smiled and walked outside after putting on her stuff brimmed hat.

Ernie grinned, following her.

‘Where abouts do you live?’ Mahina asked.

That took Ernest a bit to answer for a couple reasons, but the main one was that he was pretty lost before he found the house. "Uhm... The nearest village?"

Mahina raised an eyebrow. She was sure he’d know where he lived. ‘Right,’ she said skeptically.

Ernie sighed. "I'm not sure where exactly my village is, so... Yeah."

‘Oh. OK, then,’ Mahina said. She didn’t entirely believe him, but didn’t pry.

Ernest nodded, feeling very awkward and semi-embarrassed.
