"Do you think I could convince someone to make those fancy little engraved crowns?" Ernest joked.

Mahina chuckled. ‘Maybe! Like a really small one so you can wear it when I inevitably turn you into a frog again.’

"You better not!" Ernie laughed. "Unless you want me to turn you in."

‘You wouldn’t,’ Mahina laughed. She knew it was just a joke but she couldn’t help feeling just a bit nervous.

"Only one way to find out." Ernest chuckled and ruffled her hair playfully.

‘Hey!’ Mahina chuckled, this time the nervousness seeping into her voice. She knew Ernest would never, but she couldn’t help wondering…

Ernie heard the change in her voice. "I'm just messing with you." He tucked her hair behind her ear.

Mahina smiled softly. ‘I know. The thought is just… scary,’ she mumbled.

Ernest's smile faded slightly. "Don't even think about it then. Think about a tiny frog crown or something." He noted to not joke about that again since Mahina clearly didn't like it.
