‘Hey!’ Chester said, pouting. ‘I’m not an idiot.’

"No, you're not. You just act like one when you're in denial."

Chester rolled his eyes, kissing his neck. ‘How dare you.’

"I know, I know, I'm awful."

‘Hey, no you’re not!’ Chester argued, pulling him closer.

Jayden burst into laugher, leaning into him. "Chester, I was teasing."

Chester rested his chin on top of Jayden’s head, taking his fingers through his hair. ‘Yeah, well, good,’ he mumbled.

Jayd nodded, careful not to push Chester's head from off of him. "Yeah."

Chester kissed the top of his head, closing his eyes and nuzzling his face into his hair. ‘You’re not awful.’

"I know, I know." Jayden chuckled. "It's cute how defensive you are over it though."

Chester smiled, holding him close. ‘Thanks, I guess. But you’re cuter.’

"Not even." Jayd shook his head.

‘Yes even!’ Chester replied, raking his fingers through hair. ‘I can only be mildly cute when I’m a cat.’

"Not even true! Chester if anyone could manage to be hot, beautiful, and cute at the same time, it's you."

‘False news. You’re the hot, beautiful, cute one,’ Chester said, kissing his forehead. ‘Not me.’
