Chester looked up at the sky. The sun was just beginning to set. 'Dinner will be in a few hours,' he said.

"Alright, cool." Jayden said, looking at the sunset as well.

'What shall we do in the meantime?' he asked, swinging his pocket watch left to right by the chain.

"Hm... Maybe we could... try and find Maeve?"

'Why?'

"I dunno, maybe she could entertain us or something."

'15-year-olds can't be jesters.'

"You don't know that, maybe she's good at it!"

'I don't think so,' Chester said, shaking his head with a soft laugh.

"Darn." Jayd sighed, though he was smiling.

Chester thought for a moment. 'Do you know how to play chess?'

"Yeah." Jayden nodded. "Do you want to play it?"

'Sure,' Chester said. 'Come, I've got a set in my room.'

"Alright." Jayd stood up, offering Chester his hand to help him up.
