Maeve grinned. ‘Exactly!’ she said, not catching on that it was just a joke.

Jayd burst out laughing.

Chester let out a chuckle, lifting his hand to cover his mouth. Maeve rolled her eyes. ‘Oh shut up, both of you,’ she said. Someone walked into the dining hall - a beautiful woman.

Jayden looked at the door to see who walked in and immediately looked back down.

Maeve went quiet. Chester frowned and looked at the door. Beatrice. He clenched his jaw, the smile wiping off his face.
Beatrice sat down opposite Jayden. Chester had almost forgotten she was in the castle, but he figured he couldn’t make her starve. -
"Morning." Jayd said, figuring she might make it a whole thing if nobody addressed her. He didn't pull away from Chester though.

Chester didn’t pull away from him either. Beatrice smiled, like she was a friendly guest. ‘Good evening,’ she said. -

Jayden nodded, not saying anything else. -

*loud gasp* I never saw it coming)
Beatrice’s smile faltered a little, a for a moment she looked petty, but she plastered the big grin on her face again. She looked at Chester. Chester avoided her gaze. -
Jayd narrowed his eyes, noticing the petty look. Maeve looked between Chester and Maeve every 5 seconds.

Patton brought out four dishes. Somehow he must’ve found out Beatrice was in the castle. He gave her the same dish as the others, but her potatoes were slightly burnt. -

Beatrice gave the widest smile. "Thank you!" She said over-enthusiastically.
"Thanks." Jayden said quietly. -
(Lmfao fair)
Patton scowled at Beatrice, then left. -
Jayd grabbed some silverware, handing some to Chester.
