Chester’s father sat in front of them. ‘Your mother has been hovering around quite a bit. She’s worried about you,’ he said to Chester.

Jayden leaned into Chester.

‘Why?’

His father shrugged. "You've just seemed more on edge, according to her."

‘When your sister is failing school and your boyfriend’s kingdom knows you murdered your parents, you tend to be a bit anxious.’

"I can imagine."

Chester buried his face in his hands.

Jayden held him close. "We'll figure it out." He said softly.

Chester let him. ‘I don’t know what to do,’ he said weakly.

Jayden looked up at Chesters' father, then back at his boyfriend. "It's okay, we'll figure it out. We can get some of the best lawyers, and besides, you didn't intend for it to happen."

‘I’d deserve to go to prison,’ Chester mumbled into his hands.

Jayden wrapped him in a tight hug. "No."

Chester let him, hugging his knees to his chest and burying his face in his arms. His father stayed quiet, moving to sit next to him and wrap an arm around his shoulders.

Jayden held him tight, closing his eyes to try and relax himself so he could help Chester more.

Chester let him, sniffling. They stayed like that for a bit, until his father said, ‘You wouldn’t deserve it. And I think my opinion matters more than whoever thinks you do.’
