The woman tutted, shaking her head slightly. "You don't even remember me?" She asked, sighing.

Chester recognised that condescending tone. ‘Beatrice?’

"Took you long enough." Beatrice leaned closer. "So, where's your little pet at?" She asked in an innocent voice, as though she was just asking what the weather was.

Chester leaned back slightly, head bumping against the wall. ‘J-Jayden? H-He, um, he’s coming back…’

Beatrice pouted. "Shame. I hoped we could have time to talk..." Her hand wrapped around his waist.

Chester tensed. ‘Beatrice, please, this isn’t the time or place-‘

"Ah, right. Obviously he's the better choice." Beatrice scoffed. "Honestly, baby..."

‘Obviously. He wouldn’t call me “baby” if we ever broke up. Which we won’t,’ Chester added quickly, trying to step to the side.

Beatrice froze his legs. "Sounds great. I'm sure there's no ulterior motives at all." She pulled him closer. "You definitely aren't going to regret ever meeting him after he's taken everything from you."

Chester winced. ‘He’s not going to do that. If he wanted to, he would’ve done it already.’

"He's playing the long game. No need trying to take your land now when you'll be giving it away later." Beatrice kissed him quickly, patting his head after.

Chester looked scared. ‘Get off me. Please.’

Beatrice tutted. "So impatient." She kissed him, hands wrapping tighter around his waist.

Chester cringed. He tried to pull away, but her arms just tightened around him. He dropped his mask.

The rooms attention slowly began to shift to the two of them, the journalists noticing first, then regular people. Maeve left once she noticed, Lavender following immediately after.
Jayden noticed as well. He left his plates at the table and walked over to her. "Hands off of my boyfriend. Now."
