‘Fine,’ Hazel said, then began singing, ‘Cohen and pickle girl sitting in a tree~’

“I hate you.” Cohen said in a rush. “You and Theo are way worse anyways.”

‘Pfft, I’ve never even seen you with this girl. I bet you’re a nervous wreck.’

“Am not!” Cohen said, his voice an octave higher.
“Mhm.” Theo teased. -
Hazel grinned. ‘So how’d it go, then?’

“It went fine.” Cohen said vaguely.
“You’re not telling us the full story since if you do we’ll make fun of you forever, huh?” Theo chuckled. -
‘Yeah!’ Hazel said. ‘Tell us, please!’

Cohen shook his head quickly. “Hell no.”

‘We won’t tell anyone, promise!’

Cohen narrowed his eyes. “I don’t believe you.”

‘Who would we tell?!’

Cohen pointed at Theo. “His friends.”
“Oh sure, blame the French guy.” Theo chuckled, hands in the air like he was being arrested. -
‘What, you just assume I don’t have other friends,’ Hazel huffed.
