A couple of the younger kids were still there since they were too young to go to preschool or anything. They were playing with racecars on the kitchen floor.

Hazel stepped over the racetrack they had set up. Baby Ally was playing with a wooden doll on the floor. Hazel picked her up and carried her to her room. ‘Coming, Theodore?’

"Yup!" Theo smiled, shutting the door behind him as he followed her.

Hazel put Ally in her crib before walking to her own room.

Ally babbled loudly from her room. Theo chuckled and followed Hazel.

Hazel laughed and sat on her bed.

Theo sat next to her. He looked to make sure the door was open, not wanting to piss her dad off by breaking the rules already.

Hazel left the door open a tiny crack. ‘It’s technically open,’ she said with a shrug.

Theo raised an eyebrow, opening it a bit more. "I'm not risking it." He chuckled.

‘Ugh, fine.’

Theo chuckled, sitting back down next to her. -

Hazel leaned into him. ‘So. About shutting up…’ -
Theo blushed, grinning. He cupped Hazel's cheek in his hand.

Hazel flushed. She smiled.

Theo kissed her, closing his eyes.
