Hazel rolled her eyes. 'Get out.'

"Oh DAAAAAAD! You won't BELIEVE what Hazel did!" Jackie yelled loud enough the whole neighborhood could hear.

'Shut up!' Hazel snapped.

"Only if you tell me what happened! I want to know!" Jackie countered as the sound of someone going up the stairs started.

Hazel thought about that for a moment. She didn't care if she was grounded for swearing, but what would happen if her family found out she had a boyfriend? She looked to Theo for help.

Theo shrugged. "I'd tell him." He whispered before turning to Jackie. "I was helping her with homework."
Jackie rolled his eyes. "I'm young, not stupid." -
'He was,' Hazel said. It was technically true.

"And why were you all snuggled up together?" Jackie pressed.
"Didn't Lilla tell you last time?" Theo remembered as Hazel's dad walked in.
"What's wrong?" He asked Jackie. -
'Nothing!' Hazel said. She gave Jackie a death-stare.

Jackie stared at Hazel for a bit before answering. "She just.... told me to go away! And all I wanted was to play racecars with her!" Jackie lied. Theo breathed a small sigh of relief.

Hazel's dad sighed. 'Jackie, you can play with one of the cousins,' he said, then left looking tired.

Jackie looked at Hazel. "See, I just wanted to know what the heck goes on here. It's weird when you walk down the hall and hear your sister talk with some French guy about kissing on the nose."

Hazel huffed. 'Fine. I'll tell you. But you have to swear on your PlayStation you won't tell a soul, alright?'

"Not even Ally?" Jackie complained. "I tell Ally everything!"

'Not even Ally. Or I'll throw your PlayStation out the window.'
