Tanner nodded, laughing.

Olivia laughed lightly.

The bird walked towards Tanner. “Hey.” Tanner smiled.

Olivia smiled at the bird, bemused.

The bird just chirped back, running headfirst into his shoe.

Olivia giggled inquisitively, but then stopped laughing abruptly as the bird was now limping.
"Woah. That must've hit really hard." -
Tanner frowned. “Sorry birdie.” He tried to grab the bird, but it just limped away.

Olivia offered a hand out for the bird. The bird studied it for a second, but didn't climb on.

“You ok?” Tanner asked the bird. It didn’t answer.

Olivia's eyes were filled with genuine concern for the bird.

Tanner tried to scoop the bird up again.

The bird limped away on one leg, afraid.

Tanner frowned, finally able to scoop the bird up. “Hey, it’s ok.” he said softly to try and calm the bird down.

The bird looked at him.
