Eli nodded. “I bet money she’d try and do a ‘why did the chicken cross the road?’ Kinda thing.”

"How are we supposed to prove it?" Eli asked, not wanting to lose 10 dollars.

'Ask her to tell a joke,' Callum shrugged.

"Alright." Eli said, raising their hand once the lecture was done. "Can you tell us a-a joke?" They asked, feeling slightly embarassed.

The teacher raised an eyebrow. 'What does that have to do with maths?'
'A math joke,' Callum said. 'Something to help us remember the-' he tried to remember what they were supposed to be learning about. -
"Oh, um.... Why did the boy wear glasses to math class?" The teacher said, looking at the entire class to see if anyone had a guess. "To improve his division!"

"Ugh, fine." Eli whispered back, fishing out the money and handing it to Callum.
