(oop bye Foxy-)
Flowertail searched the clearing, looking for her parents or siblings. Instead, she found her father's parents. She smiled and walked to them, as they gave their congratulations. After that was done, she noticed Blueberryhymn alone by the prey pile. "Hey, Blueberryhymn!" She said as she approached him. -
awe man, bye bye))
Deerrunner let out a small sigh, just letting his guard down for a few moments to enjoy the company of the cats he's closest to. However, he knew he had stuff he needed to do. "Thank you both." He touches noses with Fishpaw, untangling their tails so that he could do the same to Mistytail. "I have to go speak to a few cats now, but I will talk to you guys before my vigil." He stated, waving his tail at them as he walked over to Blueberryhymm and Flowertail. The gray-blue warrior dipped his head at them in greeting before speaking.
"It might be just me, but something feels off." He said a bit ominously, sniffing at the fresh-kill pile and taking one of the rabbits for himself. "I can't put my paw on it, but it's almost as if StarClan is trying to tell me something."
Whiteflame snickered at Spiderpaw, giving him a sympathetic look. The feeling of someone putting their tail on their shoulder brought their attention to Cloudpaw, who tilted his head to point at a secluded section of the camp, as if saying 'Follow me'. The white warrior nodded, trailing after him for a minute until he rounded back around on them.
"Listen," He started, shifting his paws around as if he was uncomfortable. "StarClan has been giving me very subtle hints that something bad is going to happen. I don't know the details, and StarClan has been silent since the last half-moon, but I do know that it has to do with your prophecy." They blinked in surprise. They didn't expect him to tell them something like that.
"Have you talked to Amythestwing about this?"
He nodded his head at the mention of his mentor. "She's already spoken to Dawnstar, but I knew that you'd need to know as well." He replied. Whiteflame nodded in understanding, touching his nose with theirs. "Thank you for telling me. I'll tell the other three when I get the chance. They'll want to know as well."
For a second, they thought they could see a hint of uneasiness in his eyes, but it disappeared before they could question it. "Very well. Let me know if you need anything." -
Oof, bye D:))
Blueberryhymn paused in chewing his prey, giving Flowertail a surprised look before swallowing his mouthful and answering hesitantly. "Hi, Flowerpa- Flowertail."
He looked up as they were joined by Deerrunner, heaving a sigh as he pushed his prey aside to dive into conversation. "How so?" he said, reluctant to share any information on his part. -
Flowertail didn't say anything, just watched the other two as they spoke. She was curious to hear what Deerrunner was about to say.
-
Deerrunner sat down next to the two cats, setting down the rabbit so he could speak properly, although he hesitates for a moment. “There’s an…unusual energy in the air. It’s as if our warrior ancestors are walking beside me, whispering to me in languages I don’t understand, trying to reach me but not being able to,” He pauses to sink his claws into the ground, quickly adding, “Don’t tell anyone any of this, by the way. It’s already enough that I’m a part of a prophecy. I don’t need cats nagging me about something I don’t fully understand.”
“Understand what?” Whiteflame questioned as he came within earshot, standing next to Flowertail with his head tilted. He glanced behind his shoulder for a brief moment, locking eyes with his brother before turning away again. The gray-blue warrior didn’t reply and just gazed at them all.
“The worst thing about it is that it’s been getting worse recently. I can’t be the only one, right? Having these…these odd things happen to me? it can’t be just me.” He was persistent, wanting an answer from his friends and fellow prophesied cats, praying to StarClan that he wasn’t the only one. He was no Medicine Cat, and he never told anyone about this happening to him out of fear that someone would think he was crazy because he wasn’t a Medicine Cat. -
Blueberryhymn dipped his head towards Whiteflame in acknowlegement, returning his attention to Deerrunner as he soaked up the sun's warmth. "I suppose I ought to share then. I too have sensed something...strange. I'm not sure how to describe it. It's like a storm at bay, the tides halting to prepare for a tsunami." His whiskers twitched, his gaze shifting back down to his prey hungrily. "Then again, it could just be nerves. Becoming a warrior AND being part of a prophecy is very mentally taxing, you know." He dug into his prey again.
-
"I agree." Flowertail says. "I feel something dark on the horizon, but i can't tell what it is." She paws at the ground. "Maybe our time is coming soon..." She quietly suggests, not wanting to believe it herself.
-
Whiteflame’s face showed his very clear confusion as he stared at them. “You guys too?” He muttered, sitting down as his voice lowers, his eyes shifting around the camp. “My body feels colder than normal, but whenever I go to Amythestwing or Cloudpaw, they say that my temperature is normal. I can barely feel any heat on my fur and I have no idea what’s going on.”
Deerrunner nodded at them as he listened, rotating his ears. “I don't think this is just a coincidence. There's no way that me feeling like I'm walking with StarClan is nerves. No offense, Blueberryhymm." He gave the tom an apologetic look, hoping that he didn’t get offended by him shutting down the idea. "Regardless, do you guys think we should tell someone?” He asked them all. The white warrior perked up a bit but decided to not give the information he was given earlier just yet, wanting to know what the others thought about it. -
"You'd be surprised what nerves and a lack of sleep can do to a cat," Blueberryhymn said in his usual even tone, swiping his tongue over his muzzle. It was apparent that he didn't find this as grave of a matter as his clanmates. "Think about it. We've lived our whole lives being told we were destined to save the clans. That would imply there's something it'll need saving from. That makes me nervous."
He finished his prey, scraping dirt over it and yawning. "I think it couldn't hurt to tell someone. Maybe a medicine cat. Since they have the connection to StarClan and what not." -
"Actually," Whiteflame started, turning their ears towards the Med Den. "Cloudpaw came to me after the ceremony to talk to me about the prophecy. He said that our time is coming soon, but he's not sure when. So technically we don't need to tell them since they already know." They focused on Deerrunner first, then on Blueberryhymm. "This means that if it is nerves, then either way, we aren’t keeping that much information from them.”
Deerrunner still looked conflicted but shrugged his shoulders anyways, wiping the expression off his face and turning it into a neutral one. He glanced down at the forgotten fresh-kill on the floor and took a bite out of it, praying to StarClan that it wasn’t too soon. He’d just been made a warrior, after all! -
"And you only bothered to tell us this now, Whiteflame?" Blueberryhymn said dryly, tucking his paws under his chest. He grinned, flicking his tail against Whiteflame's shoulder playfully. "I'm just pulling your leg. But next time, tell us. We're supposed to be a team, right?"
-
"A team, yea. We should all know if another is feeling something like that." Flowertail said, picking a fresh kill off the pile, taking a few bites before looking at the others.
-
Whiteflame grinned sheepishly. "Sorry, I wanted to know what you guys thought first before saying anything." They replied, settling their tail on top of their paws and then immediately moving their tail again, taking prey out of the pile last.
Deerrunner purred quietly in amusement, the sound muffled as he ate. Once he was almost completely finished, he added in, "Anyways, can't wait for our vigil to start and ruin our sleep schedules for the next quarter-moon." His gaze went up to the sky, where the sun was slowly starting to go down. -
Blueberryhymn sat up, flexing his paws and arching his back to stretch. His ears flicked back, looking up at the darkening sky. "I don't even see the point of the vigil. It's purely ceremonial. Maybe it's lucky." He licked his paw, swiping it over his ears to clean them. "I could use some luck."
