George decamped the concourse of the edifice, treading outside a ways before he converged with his conveyance, propping the palms of his hands on it before he infiltrated it and actuated the engine. He loitered a few junctures, in due course he twisted the key and inaugurated backing out of the paved district of the premises to gain on his terminus.
(time skip to when he arrived at the entrance of the jungle bc im not writing about the drive ðŸ˜ðŸ˜)
Systematically, George punctually transpired at the foundation of the jungle, disengaging his jalopy out of panorama, unreservedly obscuring it by the dense foliage of the locus.
He circumspectly raised his chin to scrutinize the venue, as if he could espy any telltale manifestations at first dekko.
Impuissant to become cognizant of any dubious bearings, he taciturnly paced ahead, advancing to undertake his systematic entry of the jungle. -
Once she had calmed down, Avery took a deep breath. She hadn't been anticipating a nightmare like that, she thought that since she had barely slept, she would get a good rest.
Avery closed her eyes but didn't fall asleep. Honestly, she was thankful to be able to rest without the police on her tail. She fiddled with the strings of her hoodie, unsure of what to do next. -

Just preliminary to the threshold of pacing into the impenetrable foliage of the tenebrous jungle, George abruptly averted his chary gaze to the crepuscular sky which was presently overcast with caliginous clouds that hung down penetrably, minacious to obnubilate the sole margin of phosphorescence the sun had unreservedly at any given moment. He fathomed with a jolt the sun was dawning to set, its luminescent rays illuminating the canopies of the labyrinth, a commix of a vivid damson and a golden hue. He paid it no heed, instead respiring marginally to prepare to enter the jungle’s vertical extents.
And then he pushed through.
- timeskip of an hour later -
An hour or twain had elapsed since George had navigated the jungle's threshold; by now, it was a ceaseless methodology of hearken and tarry, course the acreage taciturnly without adjourning any feasible pandemoniums, and lunging in the orientation of any commotion that could be espied to no avail.
To date, George was now deadpan and fanatical on disinterring this serial killer and inflicting the most excruciating fatality plausible upon them for degenerating two hours of his time that could have been resourced in carnage to several other miscellaneous quarries who wouldn't be so laborious to subdue.
But the conceptualization of a provocation and a tedious endeavor congested him with a thrilling sensation. If this serial killer could tarry shrouded for this long, he pondered what their antagonistic deftness might be and their systematic methodology for engaging in hand-to-hand bloodshed. He mused to himself, though, as he didn't surmise anyone who hid for an extended period of time to be any good at fighting. He notioned them to be a coward, at the very least. -
Avery just sat there for quite some time, hidden in the foliage. She didn't sleep as she didn't think she'd be able to fathom what nightmares could come to her mind. Just as she was about to surrender to her fatigue, she jerked awake at a sudden disturbance. Crunching of leaves and cracking of twigs...
Someone was tracking her.
Her first instinct was to hide, but that would do nothing. Whoever was out there would be able to see her in an instant. She instead pulled her mask over her face and her hood over her head. She reached for her sword and stood, looking around frantically.
It would've taken a good hour or two for someone to trek this far into the woods, so whoever they were must've wished to capture her very much. Then again, there was a possibility of this person being a lost civilian, having no desire to come into contact with a revenge-seeking killer.
Nevertheless, having spent most of her life studying stealth, Avery fled. -
hi, i didn't know if this was a 1v1 thing or what, but if it's not then may i join?
-
(It is 1v1, sorry)

As the tumult of crunching leaves and twigs splintering disturbed the previous absence of sound of the course clearing, George’s head jolted instinctively towards the bearing of the sound.
His fist seized adamantine around his sword as he hearkened concentratedly, before without forethought, he impulsively put on a speed after whoever was absenting themself; determined to apprehend, or if not, annihilate them. -
Avery glanced behind her to check if someone was following here, but the downside to having that knowledge was tripping on a log. She recovered herself quickly and pulled her hood over here head, put her mask on her face and held out her sword, figuring she couldn't lose whoever was following her now.
