general plots ive thought up for when my brain is malfunctioning -
1. In the distant future of humanity, where a large colony ship has been traveling for thousands of years to reach its destination. It has its own self-sustaining ecosystem, its own culture, traditions, economy, etc. However, a sudden malfunction causes it to veer massively off course, forcing the ship’s government to make a decision: attempt to fix the predicament or continue on the new dangerous trajectory in search of a new planet?

2. Over the course of the years in modern society of the future, humanity has engaged in war over time, and are now at a population of about 90 million. They have all been separated into three tribes, constantly battling with the other factions for resources/control over the environment.
A mysterious alien craft crash lands in the middle of a pernicious jungle. Three separate tribes (from different factions or groups) are racing to retrieve the alien technology before the other teams do. However, along the way, as each group tries to keep its progress secret from the others, they'll discover the true dangers of the jungle and the fatal situation they had been blind to previously. -

(related to the above, though less specific to give the plot more flexibility and predicaments)
A group of adventurers are hired by royalty to retrieve a powerful artifact that is hidden in a dark forest. They set out to find the item, while discovering the forest is filled with many dangers as it becomes darker and darker. -
4. C1, a time traveller, travels to the past and falls in love with C2, their past self.
(much simpler and less specific, but has a LOT of open doors. ex, C2, the past self could have been male, but C1 is female, meaning they went through a path of self discovery and becoming transgender. Or just a really sad ending lmao) -
5. Two different kingdoms have long been at war over disputed lands. The two have agreed finally to meet and sign a peace treaty to end the bloodshed; but a traitorous faction of one of the two kingdoms is determined to assassinate both the rulers, and keep the war going to the detriment of everyone. Two spies from the kingdoms must work together to stop the attempt.
(C1 and C2 have a pretty flexible standing! Ex., C1 can be one of the traitors of the faction, and C2 can be one of the spies. This can lead to some battles and drama and such, and MIGHT have an angst ending. Or C1 and C2 can just be the spies, and have an angst or non-angst ending.) -
6. It takes place in the Wild West. C1 is a lawman tracking a notorious group of outlaws who have terrorized, looted, and killed with impunity. The outlaw group travels through the rutted terrain of the desert, making tracking them difficult. While C1 tries to figure out what happened at one of the group's recent crimes, it swiftly becomes personal.

7. The scene opens in the jungle. Two explorers, C1 and C2, are traveling through the dense brush, when they stumble upon a large abandoned temple in the distance. A dark, ancient structure, with a giant door of dark metal. Carvings of a strange language are etched all over the walls outside. It seems like a dangerous place to be, but the two explorers push ahead inside, their curiosity too powerful to resist.

8. "The Hunter Organization" (THO) is a corporate organization made up of highly skilled elite agents trained and specialized in finding serial killers and murderers that police could not catch, dead or alive.
C1 is a part of this organization, top of their team. The supervisor of the organization has called in a new serial killer on the loose, C2, that police couldn't catch, and who even several members of the organization have died to. They sent C1 into the jungle, the last area C2 was spotted...
and wished them good luck. -
9. C1 is a chef, known for their famous food and delicious gourmet meats of sorts. Chicken tenders, broiled steak, pork, you name it.
C2 has recently been hired as an employee, and they've uncovered a secret they believe was never meant to know.
C1 is growing carnivorous plants. And luring people into the building. Dismembering them and making their meat look like presentable foods; chicken tenders, broiled steak, pork, you name it. -
10. Where the setting takes place in a future where an apocalypse took place, a group of survivors team together for the best odds of survival.
As the rest of the team begins dropping like flies after being bit by zombies or some other ironic deaths, two members remain, and are clinging together.
However, C1 catches a terminal illness. C2 needs to search for a superlative medication located in the center of the infected city, in the hospital; the orientation of the birth of zombies, where the primary mother load lays.
C2 needs to retrieve the medicine quickly. Otherwise C1 will die. -
11. C1, a youthful elf, encounters a heroic knight, C2, of the realm. C2 is the most renowned hero of their time, but they harbor a dark secret. Under the armor and helmet lies the face of an orc. A forbidden race that the elves are sworn enemies of, but C1 must come to terms with the fact their heart desires the forbidden.

12. Born and growing up in a small village, C1 lives a simple life. However, unlike other modern day societies, the village carries out a tradition and ritual. They are to respect the deceased, otherwise they might come after them and bind themselves to the person’s soul.
Ghost hunters are well known in the town. Everyone sees them as admirable, brave, and fearless; in reality, they’re overly confident, have a huge ego, are arrogant, and they mistreat the dead.
And one of the ghost hunters happened to frame C1. Now a ghost, C2, has binded itself to C1 for all of eternity to torment as a consequence for a crime they did not commit…
