'Nat, are you sure you're only texting a friend?' Terry asked, putting down his newspaper. Nat gave him a questioning look. 'You're very red.'
I don't know, Nat texted Nik then turned back to Terry. -
Terry waited for a reply. “I’m just saying, I highly doubt you’d be blushing so much over a friend.” He pointed out. “So, are they something else?”

Nat clenched her jaw. She shook her head once, very slowly.

“As in they’re just a friend?” Terry confirmed, looking skeptical.

Nat swallowed. She couldn't lie to him, but then again, he had no right to know. She didn't respond in any way, just watched him nervously.

“Alright, keep your secrets.” Terry sighed. “Just wanted to check in.”
