Will post a starter in a quick sec -
The alien rhythmically tapped their fingers on the table, the busyness of the restaurant seeming to disturb their sensitive ears, which were nearly as long as a human hand. Curved and pointed, twitching towards any sound.
With a slightly pained grimace, they addressed the rest of the table. "Esteemed guests," they began. When they spoke, it sounded as if many voices were speaking at once in harmony. "I presume you all got my invitation. You must be wondering why you're here." -
Are we making characters or just being ourselves?
-
[what road said, because am interested]
-
*slams down robot OC on the table* LEMME IN, IM CURIOUS))
-
(*brings in a hybrid boy and drops him on the floor* my child! What are we doing?)
-
(i must know what is happening here :O)
-
You can do either! Roleplay as yourself as a character, just throw in a response to my starter to join. You can make a character sheet if you want, but it's not necessary))
-
"I am indeed wondering why I'm here. But more than that, I'm kinda wondering about these pulled pork nachos they have on the menu. If I get some, will you have some too?"
-
"Well, seeing as we're all here, I would imagine we did get your invitation." Mya brushes her silver blonde hair out of her eyes. "Mind explaining why we're here, though?" She asks, peering at the Alien over her wire framed glasses.
-
Luke stayed silent, playing with his hair as if no one was watching. He was rather uninterested in the conversation, but still listened to the voices of others.
-
Shelby rested the bottom of their monitor on their hand, watching the group with black, half-circle eyes. They don't really remember why they decided to join in on this little meeting, but "boredom" would probably be the best answer they could give if asked that question. "You didn't explain much in the invitation, so an explanation would be nice." The bot mentioned in a monotone voice, dropping their hand to their side.
-
The fallen angel watched the other invited in silence, his star speckled wings folded carefully behind himself while his hands where folded in his lap in a polite manner. "I am also interested in an explanation. This place is very far from my usual territory." He said, his voice a deep accented baritone
-
"What even is this place?" A small hybrid asked, his voice annoyingly high pitched in fear. "Because this is certainly not my home." He fiddled with chains that hung around his neck and the earrings dangling from his deer-like ears. His ears twitched at every sound, trying to pick up on every little thing he could.

The alien squinted at the menu, lifting it closer to their face to examine it. "...Pulled pork nachos?" they said, the words strange on their tongue. "That is pig, is it not?"
They set the menu down with a kind look, but not a smile. That was threatening in their nature, a sign of aggression. It had taken them a while to adjust to the fact that humans, and several other species like them, used them to express positivity. Why on earth they'd think baring teeth was a cheerful gesture, the alien had no idea.
"I'm afraid my diet is a little more, ah, delicate," they responded. "We do not feast on flesh, no."
They frowned, then added, "At least the good ones don't. But I'm sure at least one of the members of this company would be happy to oblige you."
The alien leaned back, their four dim eyes blinking out of rhythm with each other. They made a soft clicking sound before speaking.
"You have all been carefully selected for your individual skills and talents," they began. Their eyes became slightly sorrowful. "We had hoped for more than six, but perhaps some are merely late. Nevertheless, seven will still suffice for the quest I have in mind."
They turned their attention to the nervous hybrid, making a clicking sound again. "I am surprised you are not aware of your summons. It is always wise to know about your destinations," they replied sagely. "We are in Port Galaxica. A safe place for creatures from all over the universe to reside."
Their tone grew somewhat sour. "Such a pitiful name for a powerful place. I suggested that we name it "Port Vaoslla" in honor of our mother tongue, but no. Zeht always gets what he wants," they grumbled.
They remembered their company, perking up again. "But that is of little matter. Port Galaxica caters to all and every civil creature. I'm sure you will all find something on the menu that is to your taste."
