Atalanta looks at the two, then back at Evangeline. "shall we leave them to get to know each other, then?" she asks her politely.

Evangeline turned to Atalanta. “Of course,” she said. She looked back at Orion and Elise. “Off you go,” she said.

"Would you like a walk in the garden, Princess?" Orion asks as they walk out of the room.

Elise nodded her head. “That sounds nice.”

Orion leads Elise to the gardens, which is full of beautiful flowers of all sizes. "it really is beautiful out here." he says

Elise looked around at all the beautiful flowers. “It truly is. I wish I could be here all the time.”

"why don't you?" Orion asks, a little confused.

Elise turned her head to hide her embarrassed blush. “I suppose, in a way, it makes me sad. I used to come here with a friend…” She cut off, not wishing to speak on the matter anymore.

"oh." Orion says. "i understand. but if you do need to talk to someone, i will listen..."

Elise smiled awkwardly. “I’ll take you up on that sometime.” She took a deep breath. “How, um… how do you spend your time, usually? Do anything fun? Read? Stare off into space? What’s your cup of tea?”

"art." Orion says. "i really enjoy drawing and painting, when i have time for it. you?"

“I think I mainly like reading,” Elise says, “though I do really like music.”

"What's your favorite genre of books?" Orion asks, interested.

Elise thought for a moment. “I’d have to say poetry, if that counts. A book filled with poems.”

Orion nods. "Poetry is good." he agrees. "my favorite, however, is Fantasy books. i love reading about the kinds of magic that other people think up, not just our elemental magic we have." he says. every royal before me has had these powers, why do i not? it was a recurring question, but it was still unwelcome.
