Devin coughed, biting back tears. "He would hit me and wouldn't feed me. I had to run away or I wouldn't be here right now." His tears spilled from his eyes and he whimpered. "I didn't deserve it. I was only 5."

Aki hugged him again. "You got a better family now."

Devin nodded, squeezing Aki tight. "That I do."
Rachel nodded. "Much better, Daddy." -
Aki nodded in agreement. "She's not wrong."

Devin smiled and hugged his kids again. "I love you too."

"We love you too." Aki said smiling.

Devin sighed. "Thanks. I am so grateful for you!!"

Aki smiled. Sakura had a pain hit through her.

Devin sighed. "I- I'm a little tired."

"Why?" Aki asked. Sakura whined in pain.

Devin shrugged. "I dunno. Just am." They said sleepily.

Sakura then cried out, "Help me!"

Devin jolted awake. "Sakura?!"

Sakura then stopped. She had a pain through her whole body.

Devin shifted and looked at her. "Sakura? Are you okay?"
