Dream scanned the pile of cash sitting on top of an old crate. It was barely enough to get by. No one was near so he removed his mask and sighed, feeling the fresh air on his face for the first time in a while.
Sapnap unlocked the door to the house, coming home after a really, really long day at school. He had been pushed around again, beat up and bullied. He'd lost the urge to fight back, feeling that it was useless. He was just happy to be home, even though their apartment was practically falling apart. "Gold, you here?" He called for his 'little brother'.
"Gold's not home yet, but I'm here you muffinhead!" Badboyhalo called to Sapnap. He loved both Nick and Gold as brothers, and had dropped out of school and turned down a possible scholarship to take care of them. He flicked off the TV and greeted Sapnap in the kitchen.
Wilbur looked around proudly at the treehouse he, his little brother, and their best friend had been living in for years. They'd started out with a makeshift shack, but ended up wiring a treehouse with redstone and having running water an electricity. "Tommy, Tubbo, Dinner!" He called out the window.
Tommy's head snapped up and he looked toward home. He and Tubbo had been playing in the forest together. "Race you back, Tubs!" He called behind him as he sprinted off. The blonde laughed and smiled, loving life.
Ranboo ducked into an alleyway and tried to catch his breath. He HATED stealing, but it was the only way to keep himself and his sibling alive. "We did it!" He said happily as he pulled out the wallet. -
Gold whimpered, dragging himself home. He knew Bad would be there and would want to know what happened. After getting physically attacked by that other kid, the street boy, his pig hybrid friend verbally abused him. He started crying, breaking into a weak run.
Dingoe howled. "let's head back to Dream, Blade. We did good terrorizing that b**ch. Got any money?"
Techno nodded. "I got like 15 dollars. Let's head home."
Tubbo laughed. "I'll get you!!!" He cried sprinting after Tommy.
Lemon grinned. "How much we got, Ran? Can we get a meal tonight?" -
"How much longer can this go on??" Dream asked himself. Stealing was, while exhilarating and fun, morally wrong. He knew that, but it was more so his worry for his friends that deterred him.
Nick smiled weakly before collapsing into a chair at the table.
"Wait, are you okay!?" Bad asked as he crouched down next to Nick. "It happened again, didn't it?"
"Be careful!" Wilbur called once the boys came into view.
Tommy ignored Wil's warning, and ended up tripping over a root and falling in the mud. "AHHH-"
"Yeah, we got it!" Ranboo said, rising to his full height. He was tall for 15. He was a staggering 6'3. "I hear them, let's go!" Ranboo said quietly and grabbed Lem's hand. "We gotta get to Amy."
Amythest sighed and climbed the latter to the old observatory. It served as a hideout for her and her siblings. The view was undeniably beautiful, the sunset painting the sky with orange and red. She whistled an old bird call her father taught her before he passed. A raven tweeted in response, making her laugh. -
Gold stumbled towards his apartment, sobbing at the pain. He pushed the door open weakly, staggering inside. He collapsed once he got inside, sobbing hard.
Dingoe pulled on Techno's hand, starting to run towards the small place where they stayed with Dream.
George whined, scrubbing the floor, trying to ignore his bleeding head. He needed to get out of here. And fast.
Tubbo gasped, helping Tommy up. "Are you okay?"
Skeppy scaled the ladder to the loft of the abandoned barn he lived in. He glanced around at the few things he had, including the picture of a young kid he met only once. This kid was hot. They had been friends while in school. But he has to leave school to take care of his siblings and Skeppy had to run beacause ... Reasons. But he loves Bad and wanted to see him again
Lem started running. "Let's teleport, Boo." -
Bad immidiately jumped up and to the door. "GOLD-" He picked the younger boy up and carried him to the couch. "Those muffin heads I SWEAR!" He yelled in anger.
Nick jumped up and followed Bad. "I-Is he okay!?" He asked, terror present in his voice.
"Tommy!" Wilbur yelled as he climbed down the branches of the tree, skipping the last few altogether and dropping to the ground. He darted over to his brother. "Are you okay!?"
"Yeah, I-I'm alright. Just a little shook." Tommy replied, smiling up at Wil.
Dream, facing away from the door, gazed out the window. Which was really just a whole inside of the tall building they hid in.
Ranboo grabbed Lem's hand quickly and teleported just before the cops darted into the alley. They appeared at the bottom of the observatory.
Amythest was up above, perched on the dome itself. The sunset was stunning, and it relaxed her. She started singing, her voice angelic and beautiful. -
Gold reached out for Sapnap. "Sappy, I'm okay. Those street kids did it. Those two who hang out with that masked kid. The pig hybrid and dog hybrid." He stared rambling, his pain overwhelming. "I'm just not used to being abused or treated like this."
George looked outside. He had seen Skeppy recently and knew that he could help him. "George!!! Move your f**king ass and get that damn floor done or you'll wish you were dead!!" His master screamed.
Dingoe weaved between the buildings. "C'mon, Blade, quit being slow! Let's get back to Dream." He flipped himself over a fence, then continued running.
Techno followed him, grumbling about the speed. He put on an extra burst of speed as he saw the building they hid out on. "Now who's being slow?" He asked, throwing the door open and running inside.
Tubbo smiled, starting towards the treehouse. "Dinners done right?" -
Sapnap leaned in and hugged his little brother. "Oh my god, I'm gonna kill them. Dream used to be amazing...what went wrong!?" He muttered to himself.
Bad rushed into the kitchen for ice packs and medication, knowing he'd probably have to put Gold to sleep before the pain was too much. Skeppy would know how to handle- NO- DO NOT think of him. You've got more important things to tend to than love life. He rushed back and knelt beside the couch. "Here, Gold. Take this." He said softly.
Dream gasped and spun around, dagger raised. He almost threw the weapon until he realized that it was Techno. "JEEZ- YOU- Oh god, you scared me." He exclaimed angrily, trying to catch his breath.
Wilbur nodded and walked the boys to the house. Tomy sighed and walked beside Wil.
Ranboo released Lemon's hand and looked around. He heard the singing from above him. "Aims!?" He called for his human-enderman hybrid sister.
The girl's singing cut off and she looked through a hole in the dome. "Yeah? Ran? Lem?" She called back. -
Gold refused to look at Bad, just held on to Sapnap. Trying to calm down, he buried his face in Sapnap's shoulder.
Techno laughed quietly. "You look good, Dreamy. Where's your mask?" He asked, throwing the money down on the crate. "15 more, Dream."
Dingoe chuckled, tapping an ax against the doorway. "What're you up to, green b**ch?"
Lem laughed, walking towards the upstairs ladder. "Can we come up?" -
Sapnap held Gold close and rocked him back and forth. "Hey. I've got you Goldie." He said the Nickname teasingly in an effort to get his brother to smile.
"Sh**!" Dream exclaimed as he lunged for his mask. He quickly put it back on and turned to glare at the boys. "15 more!? You think we can live off of 15!?"
Wilbur, Tommy, and Tubbo ate their meal in peace. Wil teased Tommy about falling.
"Sure!" Amethyst replied happily. "The sunset is so pretty!"
Ranboo chuckled and skipped the ladder entirely, just teleporting behind his sister. "BOO!" He yelled. -
Gold whimpered, snuggling against his brother. A small smile played on his lips when Sap called him Goldie, but instantly disappeared because of his pain.

"I've got you. Take the medicine, okay?" Sapnap said gently. He released Gold enough for Bad to give him the medication.
Badboyhalo sighed and looked down at his brothers. He then turned and walked out of the kitchen. "What is wrong with those muffinheads!?" He muttered to himself. -
Techno flinched. "Hey, at least this is better than yesterday. Also, we stole this from a stupid little orphan. Couldn't even defend himself."
Dingoe laughed harshly."That other kid he lives with, the middle one. You know who talking about? Yeah, he's a f**king pushover. Doesn't stand up to anyone. Maybe that's where he gets it from."
Tubbo watched silently, enjoying the food. He was glad he didn't need to scavenge for food.
Lemon laughed, climbing to the top of the ladder. Xey hugged Amy, humming quietly. -
"Wait-" Dream said. "Are you talking about Gold? And Nick?" His tone was harsh.
Tommy glared at his brother. "Stop teasing me!" He exclaimed as he rose from the table. He started to take his plate to the kitchen.
"Nah Tom, I don't think I will," Wilbur said with a smirk. "Hey, be careful! You might trip again," He said sarcastically.
Amethyst jumped when Ranboo scared her, and relaxed in Lemon's arms. "Ran, you're so mean!" She said as she hugged Lem back. -
Techno back up. "I th-think so."
Dingoe flinched. He started backing away from the angry Dream.
Tubbo giggled. "Yeah, Tom!!!"
Lem chuckled. "I love you." -
"SERIOUSLY!?" Dream yelled. He took half the pile of money and shoved it into his satchel. He then rushed towards the door.
Tommy sighed and put his dishes in the sink. "You guys are jerks!"
Wilbur just stood up and laughed. He ruffled Tommy's hair and took care of his dish as well.
"I love you too, Lem!" Amy said happily. She released her sibling and moved back to her original spot on the dome, before she was scared.
Ranboo sighed and gazed at the sky. "Wow, you were right Aims. It's so pretty."
