"Don't say that-" Ranboo's voice was strained and he stared down at Amy.
"Tell me about them, Goldie." Nick said softly. -
Lem cocked xeir head to the side. "Why not? It's true!!"
Gold shuddered, sobbing into his brother's shirt. "I don't like talking about them!!! It scares me too much!!!!" -
Ranboo shook his head sadly and shifted his gaze to the palace in the distance. "I couldn't- I didn't-"
"Talking can help. Please?" Nick whispered -
"Ranboo, sometimes things like this happen. it's fine. You've done so much dfor us!" Lem cried, hugging xeir brother.
Gold sobbed. "I - I'm afraid to. It scares me and I hate talking about them. Is Bad still asleep? I might talk about it if I can only talk about it once. I hate my dreams. I can't really sleep well." -
"I couldn't keep you both from this, and-" Ranboo's eyes fell back to Amethyst. "I-I couldn't catch her. If I had been thinking, I could have teleported into the air and saved her. OR In the first place, I could have just grabbed her hand and teleported to the fields with you. I f***ed up-"
"I'll tell him, alright? You don't have to say it twice. Just talk to me." Nick quietly encouraged. -
"Ranboo, no!!! That was my fault. I was closest. I should have helped her. But ... I didn't. I let her fall." Lem sighed, staring at xeir injured sister.
Gold sobbed harder. "I'm always bullied, Sap. I can't get anyone to listen and they usually hurt me a lot. I lose you guys. I watch as you get hurt when ..." Gold choked up, his body shaking violently and he couldn't stop sobbing -
"No-" Ranboo said sternly. "It's my job to protect you guys, and I'm obviously failing. My teleporting ability is better than yours, mainly because I'm f***ing older. But I should have done better." Ranboo fought tears, knowing that they would burn.
Nick gasped. "Oh my god-" He held on tightly to GOld and sat down on the ground, pulling his brother with him. "I've got you, I'm not going anywhere." -
Lem winced as Ranboo threw that at xem. Xey whimpered, turning away from xeir brother. "I've tried. I've tried my best. I'm sorry."
Gold whimpered, forcing the rest of the dream out. "You die. Both you and Bad die. Then I get beaten up and slaughtered. It scares me!!" The hybrid shoved his head into his brother's shoulder, still shaking. -
"No, no no no that wasn't an attack on you! I- F***!" He exclaimed. "You're doing your best, I didn't expect you to save her. I'm saying it was my responsibility because I've had more experience. I- I'm sorry I can't-" Ranboo rambled.
Nick gripped Gold tighter. "I've got you. I'm here. No one is going anywhere, okay?" -
Lem nodded. "Okay. Okay. It's fine Ranboo. Just please accept that I did try to help. I want to help, but I guess I'm too young."
Gold nodded. "I'm sorry for waking you. I didn't want to. I wanted to be alone. But I'm glad you made me talk to you. It helped me." -
"I didn't mean that you were too young, because that's not what I meant at all. You're stronger than I lot of people I've met, okay? I know you tried to help, and I feel like the damage would have been way worse if you hadn't distracted the guard over her as you did. You did help, Lem." Ranboo said as he looked over to his brother.
"Just talk to me every time, okay? I'm here for you." Nick whispered. -
Lem smiled weakly. "Thank you, Boo. I try to be stronger and helpful. I'm glad I could help." Xey nuzzled Ranboo's shoulder, sighing gently.
"I don't want to talk to you everytime. Only because I don't want to wake you up every time." Gold sighed quietly, keeping his tears back. -
Ranboo nodded and gazed nervously out the window. They couldn't be more than 5 minutes away now.
"I don't care, wake me up anyway," Nick said quietly but sternly. -
Lem shifted against Ranboo. "I'm scared about this, Ran. What's going to happen???"
Gold flinched, pulling away slightly. He didn't like it when Sapnap got stern. Rarely ever did Gold fight with him. "I love you, Sap and would tell you that if you think it will help." -
"No. Clue." Ranboo said sarcastically.
"Just tell me when it happens, okay?" Nick asked, making his tone softer
