George sighed again, relaxing as he felt Dream's presence. He felt safer around Dream for some reason. He didn't exactly know why, just that Dream was someone he could trust.
-
Dream ran a hand through George's hair, letting his eyes flutter shut.
-
George smiled, closing his eyes and snuggling against Dream. "I love you, Dreamy." He whispered.
Gold flinched, whining loudly. "Dad?" He cried, twisting to the side. -
"I love you too," Dream whispered back.
"Hey, hey, Gold," Skeppy asked, startling awake. "He's right there, it's okay-" -
George sighed again. "Dream? This makes what? The third time we fall asleep on each other?"
Bad gasped and quickly woke up. "Gold, shhh. I'm right here. It's okay."
Gold screamed. "No!!! He's dead! I killed him! Skeppy!!! I f**king killed him! Dad's gone!!!" He screamed again, thrashing violently. -
"Yep," Dream said with a quiet chuckle.
"Gold, Gold," Skeppy said, quickly hugging the boy and holding him close so he would stop thrashing. "He's right here, it's okay-" -
George nodded, wrapping his arms around Dream's waist. He hummed softly, falling asleep.
Bad sat up quickly, watching Gold. "Shhhhh. Hey, I'm here. Don't worry, Goldie."
Gold sobbed. "Dad? Where are you? Come here!!" He hugged Skeppy and coughed weakly. -
Dream opened his eyes again, glancing around the clearing. He was too anxious to fall asleep without his mask.
"He's right there, don't worry," Skeppy said. "Take deep breaths." -
Gold coughed again and whimpered. "I - I can't see him!" He pushed away from Skeppy and inhaled sharply.
Bad caught Gold and hugged him. "Hey, I'm here. See, it's okay. I'm alright. Calm down, Goldie." -
Skeppy frowned, sitting back for a sec.
-
Gold whined, clinging to Bad. "You're really there?" He whispered, trying to steady his breathing as he started to wake up from his dream.
Bad nodded, holding Gold close. "It's okay. I'm really here. Skeppy, I'm really worried about him. I'm afraid that if these dreams get bad enough he'll be terrified to sleep." -
"I know,: Skeppy said quietly. "Maybe we could give him a sleeping potion?"
-
Gold sighed, relaxing as he heard Bad talking. He was close to waking up, but was still too scared to release Bad.
Bad nodded. "That should work. At least he'll get some sleep. But that won't stop the dreams." He added. "Who would be able to help with those? Or do we just have to handle them?" -
"I don't know," Skeppy said. "He might just have to deal with them."
-
Bad frowned and nodded. "True. But ... It's tearing him apart. He's afraid I'm dead. He was almost unresponsive until I got a hold of him and started talking." He said quietly. "I don't want this to happen every night. For his sake. So he can relax."
