"Hey, Gold?" Skeppy said gently, entering his room but keeping a distance. "What's up?"
Dream smiled, moving the flower so he could see out of his already limited sight.
Sapnap smiled, moving to Karl and taking his hand. "I know a good place." -
Gold shook his head. "Nothing. Just want to think a bit." He paused, realizing he was lying. "I'm stressed." He mumbled looking down.
Bad frowned. "People change, Lem. Dream is actually nice inside that facade you see. Just have to know him well."
Lem shrugged. "I guess." Xey curled xeir lip and snarled a little.
George smiled, laughing a little. "Oops. Couldn't see, right?"
Karl laughed. "Okay. Take us then."
Quackity nodded and fanned his wings a little. "Yeah. Take us!!" -
"You sure? Because I'll listen to anything," Skeppy said.
"Just a bit," Dream said with a chuckle, shrugging.
"Okay," Sapnap said with a large smile, heading out of their room. -
"I'm stressed." He said louder. "I just ... don't like what Lem is doing. Starting this stuff, talking about stuff I'm trying to successfully ignore. I don't care if Dream is here. Or if he's dating George. It doesn't matter to me. Or to Lem. Xey are just nosy!!" He burst out, covering his face again.
Bad frowned. "Wasn't Gold like that?"
Lem paused. "Well, yeah..."
"Then don't judge Dream for seeming different. Ask anyone who knew him well before he went to prison and they could tell you he is a good guy." Bad said quietly.
George squirmed. "Okay, put me down! Please?"
Karl and Quackity followed. Karl fidgeted with his pocket watch and Quackity tugged down on his beanie. -
Skeppy nodded slowly. "Well, how about we talk to Lem about that?"
"Okay, okay," Dream said with a fake sadness, letting George down.
After a bit, they arrived at a store. In the display window were somewhat fancy dresses and feminine clothing. Sapnap had been here many times before but never had the guts to try anything on. -
Gold shook his head. "No. I won't because it doesn't matter. I just sometimes overreact." He shivered and looked up at Skeppy. "Can you sit with me for a little, please?"
Lem frowned. "Even one who rejects him now?"
Bad shook his head. "I know who you mean. And it isn't rejection. It's shame of being associated with a maniac as others see him."
George gently kissed the mask before making a face at Dream. "Oh, help me with the flowers and you can hold me later."
Karl smiled. "Have you been here before?"
Quackity tilted his head and looked at some of the dresses. "Those are pretty." -
"Of course," Skeppy said quietly, nodding.
Dream scoffed playfully, chuckling. "Alright, alright."
"Maybe," Sapnap said, looking at the ground. -
Gold sighed. "I don't like being alone. Ever. But ... it sometimes feels like I should be." The hybrid blushed and glanced at the floor. "I half-expect you to reject me."
Lem fell silent. Maybe xey should try it. After all, Bad had known Dream before the prison. So had George and Sapnap.
Bad smiled. "Skeppy's talking to Gold now. After, why don't we all discuss this?"
George smiled and turned his back to Dream, hiding his blushing face from his boyfriend as he paused at the castle gates.
Karl lifted Sapnap's chin and looked into his eyes. "Hey, don't be ashamed. It's fine. We've already said we accept you!"
Quackity nodded in agreement. "Besides, those are really pretty. At least, the ones I can see." -
"I'll never do that," Skeppy said softly.
Dream paused with him, waiting for some sort of direction.
Sapnap smiled a little bit before nodding. "Let's go inside." -
Gold sniffled a little, cuddling up beside Skeppy. "Okay. Dad wouldn't either, would he? You two will never reject me, will you?"
Lem nodded, still silent.
George glanced at Dream. "I don't know how to organize this." He said. "I don't know how the flowers would look next to each other. And since I don't know that, I can't organize these."
Karl followed Sapnap, right on his heels, wanting to be there to make Sapnap feel welcome.
Quackity followed slower, looking at things. He liked this place. It seemed like it had nice stuff. -
"No, of course not!" Skeppy said, wrapping an arm around Gold.
Dream nodded slowly. "I got it."
Once they got inside, Sapnap jumped as someone greeted them.
"Hello there!" A bright young woman called. "What can I help you with? Something for a special someone?"
"Uh- n-no," Sapnap paused, debating for a minute if he should just run. "I was looking for a dress, actually." -
Gold snuggled with his uncle, tugging gently on his hand. "I'm glad. Quackity really only kept me around because I was a good thief and I hated Techno." He hesitated before adding one more thing. "And so he could keep Lem as his advisor."
George smiled at Dream. "Thank you. If it's too much, I can always get Tommy to help. Or maybe Tubbo. He lives here now."
Karl placed his hands on Sapnap's shoulders, noticing how tense the younger male was.
Quackity folded his wings and sighed, stepping up to Karl's side. -
“I’ll never,” Skeppy said softly.
“Oh, cool,” Dream said with a nod. “I should be good, though.”
“Oh, alright,” The girl seemed to light up even more, since this almost never happened. “What kind of a dress were you looking for.”
“Uh… A white one?” Sapnap said hesitantly.
