"Hey, I've got you. They're gone, and they're never gonna touch you again. I'm so sorry I left, George. I'm so sorry it took me so damn long to realize." Clay whispered. He nuzzled George's neck, and fought the tears that came to his eyes.
-
"They- they f---ing drugged me," George said breathlessly. He didn't know if he was saying to Clay, or just to get it out. "I don't know what f---ing happened- they were so nice..."
-
Clay gasped quietly and tightened his grip on George. "Tell me everything you remember-" He said softly.
-
"Well," George paused. "I was just walking, and they sparked a conversation. They seemed nice enough, so I gave them my name when they asked for it and s---, and they commented on my accent." George paused, again, taking a shaky breath. "Then it was almost like- they were checking if you were there or not. And then one of them pinned me to the ground suddenly and they drugged me- and I- I forget."
-
"Oh my god...I'm so sorry. I literally saw them carrying you away, I was just too f---ing dumb to realize that it was you until I saw your phone-" Tears streamed down Dream's face, and he shifted so he could grab the phone out of his pocket.
-
"Don't be, please," George said quietly.
-
Clay handed George his phone and ignored the plead. "Do- Does anything hurt?" He asked softly.
-
"My neck, wrists and back do a little," George said. He was lying a bit. At least, his neck hurt like hell.
-
Clay shifted his arm so it was supporting George's head and neck. "Is that a little better?" He asked quietly.
-
"A little," George replied quietly.
-
Clay nodded and sighed. "Do you wanna stay here, or would you like to go back to the car? We don't even have to go anywhere, we can just sit there," he whispered.
-
"Let's go to the car," George said quietly.
-
"Alright," Clay slid out of the tunnel, pulling George with him. He picked his friend up and carried him bridal style down the stairs. "I almost lost you..." Clay mumbled, more to himself than anyone else.
-
George didn't respond, realizing his tone. "Can I- walk myself?"
-
Clay nodded and very carefully set George on his feet. He stared at him for a moment with a pained expression.
