"Hold on," Matthew said. "Could you of guessed it was me in the apartment?"
-
"What do you mean? When you were here yesterday as Citadel?" Morrigan asked as she put the pot on the stove.
-
"No, with Parallex?" Matthew asked. "Like when he attacked and followed you into your apartment?"
-
"That's what I meant!" She laughed. "And sort of...I had my suspicions. The way you speak was similar, and knowing me in real life was a major clue."
-
"Damn it," Matthew said quietly to himself. "I knew I should've stayed somewhat voiceless."
Matthew sighed, looking out the window as the rain still poured. It was somewhat peaceful in this stressful situation. -
Morrigan put tea bags in the now boiling water, and grabbed the sugar. "A-Am I obvious?" She asked.
-
"What?" Matthew said, furrowing his eyebrows. "Oh God no, I could've never figured that out in a million years."
-
"That's both sad and good at the same time..." She trailed off attempting to pour a cup of sugar into the water
-
"Yeah," Matthew said quietly, sighing. "I don't know what to say. It's kinda all been said."
-
"Yeah. I- I'm sorry. I've complicated...everything." Morrigan said sadly.
-
"No, not complicated," Matthew corrected, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Just made it interesting."
-
"You say that now!" Morrigan said with a chuckle. She put the lid on the pot and stared into the boiling tea.
-
"I do," Matthew said with a chuckle. "Just trying to look on the bright side, I guess."
-
"JusT trY AnD LoOk oN tHe bRiGHt siDE" Morrigan jokingly mocked Matthew.
-
"Shut up," Matthew said with a chuckle, rolling his eyes. "Says the person who finds the rain pretty."
