"Please don't," Nick said with a chuckle.
George glanced over to Karl with a small smile as he trudged after Nick. -
"Then you have no choice but to get in the water yourself." Clay was trying to sound optimistic but he knew it wasn't working. He
"Are you alright?" Karl asked quietly as he walked by his friend's side. "Wil told me what happened-" -
"Maybe I will," Nick said with a shrug.
"I'm fine," George quickly said, nodding. -
Clay glanced up at the water and sighed. "It's so pretty," He mumbled, lost in thought.
Karl decided not to press the issue any further. Instead, he held out a pack of gummies. "These are so good, I don't know why. Try one!" -
"Yeah," NIck said, glancing over to Clay "You alright?"
"I'm- good, thanks, though," George said with a slightly nervous smile. -
"I'm fine." Clay lied.
"What's wrong? Have you eaten anything today?" Karl asked -
"You sure?" Nick said. "Better to get it off your chest now so you can have fun-"
"Nothings wrong," George said simply, ignoring the second question. It's not that he wasn't exactly hungry, but he just felt sick to the stomach. -
"I'm just worried about him," Clay said as he glanced back at George.
Karl nodded. "Try and smile...okay?" He said softly -
Nick sighed, nodding. "I know. And you know these things take a while to heal, and George is pretty stubborn." He said quietly.
George forced a smile, glancing in front of him. He nodded a little, struggling to keep the smile on his face. -
Clay sighed and slipped his shoes off. He bent over to pick them up.
Karl chuckled. "A real smile, silly." He glanced ahead. "Let's catch up," He said as he started to run. -
Nick did the same, marching onto the sand.
George slowed down for a minute, watching as he ran ahead. He sighed, going after him. -
"The breeze feels nice." Clay observed. He brushed his blonde hair out of his face and sighed.
"Okay, where are we setting up?" Karl asked as he reached them. -
"Yeah," Nick agreed with a nod, looking around. "Uh, over there?"
George finally caught up, stopping just behind Karl. -
Clay looked over at George but quickly looked away again. He focused on Nick instead. "That looks nice."
"Alright!" Karl darted over to the spot, which was fairly close to the ocean. He jumped up and down excitedly and smiled at Nick. -
"You excited?" Nick called with a smile, approaching Karl.
George followed Nick, running a hand through his hair.
