The Trico decided that yes, Creator would probably like the little fox, and so stood up. It stretched for a moment, before lowering its heard and grabbing the fox in its beak. After it had the fox it turned west and took off running, spreading out its surprisingly massive wings and taking to the sky
-
She clung to the feathers as it took off, almost screaming. It was very windy up there. And they were very high up. She turned to look down, and wished she hadn’t.
The fox yelped in surprise and pawed at the creature but couldn’t quite reach, and realized it was in midair and stopped struggling because it didn’t want to fall. -
The Trico quickly accended above the clouds, completely unaware of its second passenger, before quickly flying west.
It took several hours for its destination to some into sight, a massive hollowed out plateau. In the distance a few other Trico could be seen in the clouds, obviously heading for the same place
-
Veya had a slight trouble breathing because of the altitude.
The fox made a incomprehensible sound when it saw the landscape below. -
The Trico started flying lower as they approached the Nest. Its horns lit up with a pale green glow as it passed over the natural stone wall and approached the weathered white tower in the center of the ruins, landing gently on its topand setting the fox down
-
Magpie walked around and sniffed some areas of its surroundings before bouncing back to the creature, nosing in its feathers until it found its Veya.
Veya giggled softly and ran her fingers through Magpie’s fur. -
The trico watched the fox, before it jumped and made a startled noise as it finally noticed the human on its back, its eyes flashing red as it whined and ruffled its feathers, spooked. It the started trying to shake her off as the other Trico started landing nearby.
-
Veya grabbed Magpie and jumped back, stumbling off the creature as she landed on cold, cracked stone. As she saw it’s eyes flash, her own eyes widened in fear. She scrambled back and held her fox close.
-
The beast jumped away from her, roaring as it shook itself again. The other Trico started coming over, growling at her with their backs arched. At that moment a strange ringing sound filled the air, causing the Trico to all go quiet and look towards a hole in the tower roof air their eyes glowed green. Seconds later, another Trco lept out of the hole with a small figure clinging to its back, which revealed to be a small boy as he jumped off
-
She backed up to a wall and moved to a defensive position, but decided to not reach for her knife, as to not provoke the hostile creatures. Wait… was that another… human?
-
The boy quickly ran over to her, but stopped a little ways aaay "sorry about them, they get scared around people" the boy said quickly "are you ok?" He asked as the Trico he had been ridding walked closer, cuffing curiously
-
“Y-yeah, where are we?” She asked, setting Magpie down and stroking its fur before allowing her reluctantly to explore.
Magpie trotted over to the Trico they had been with and touched noses with it, before yipping and running in a circle. -
The child sat down, his Trico sitting down just behind him. "My people call this place The Nest, its where the Trico live" he said gently before pausing "well, the Trico and Watcher"
-
“Who are the Trico and who is the Watcher?” She asked hesitantly. “And can the giant bird creatures understand us? And any reason why Magpie- the fox- likes that one?” She asks, curious.
-
The boy paused before gesturing to the beasts around them "those are Trico. I'm not sure if they can understand us? Toriko seems to understand me, but I think that's just because of me knowing him long enough" he said, as Toriko lowered his head to nose at the Boy.
"I'm not sure why Magpie likes them, i still don't know a whole lot about them. Watcher would probably know though, but hes afraid of humans so I don't know if you could ask him"
