Leo looked like he wanted to pat her back comfortingly, but was too shy to. "Hey, it's gonna be okay."

Ami smiled. The brunette looked at her with a small smile. "Ami-' She spoke. Ami looked at the brunette with a smile. "Mako-" She said.

Leo looked between the two, confused. "So you two know each other or..?"

Ami smiled. "Yes actually. This is my friend Mako." She said as she pointed at the brunette. "Yeah. We're childhood friends you might say." Mako said as she put her hand behind her head.

Leo waved at Mako, a friendly smile on his face. "Wow, what a coincidence! You two meeting here, I mean."

Ami smiled at Mako. "We must get going." She said. "See you later Mako!" Ami said as she headed somewhere else.

Leo followed, laughing a little. "Do you know where you're headed?"

"No......" Ami said in embarrassment. "Do you know?" She asked.

Leo chuckled, putting his hands in his pockets. "You're headed for the icecream parlor. Do you like icecream?"

"Yeah." Ami smiled. "What about you?" She asked

"Same. Want to go get some?" Leo said casually, although he was internally screaming from embarrassment.

"Ok!" Ami said enthusiastically. She slowed down for Leo to catch up.

Leo walked forward, giving her a grateful smile as they approached the parlor. A welcoming silver bell tinkled merrily as he opened the door, alerting the person at the counter to their presence.
"Welcome! What can I get you?"
