A few of the canines followed behind her to make sure she didn't flee, leading her into what looked like the heart of the factory. In the center of the room was a large draconic centaur looking robot, with several glowing tubes connected to its back and a clear chamber in its upper chest holding several luminescence white fragments.
-
Juniper studied the stranger with a mixture of suspicion, curiosity, and intrigue. "Who are you?" she called out.
-
The creature lifted it head to look at her, the numerous lights on its bodys brightening as it came online. "[ANSWER]We Are Hydron.
-
Juniper stepped back uncertainly when the lights brightened, crouching in a defensive position. "Are you on the human side, or are you a rebel? Or...neither?"
-
Hydron watched her for several seconds before responding "[ANSWER] I have no love for Humans. But I know no Rebellion. So neither."
-
Juniper hesitantly stepped closer, although her gut was screaming at her to run away. "Well, anyone who's an enemy of humans is a friend of mine," she said with a nervous laugh. "I'm from the Rebellion, and I came here to get supplies. But you being here was definitely a surprise."
She looked around, her large eyes taking in the abandoned, well, not so abandoned factory. "How long have you been living here?" -
Hydron made a low clicking sound "[ANSWER] since my shattering. Time has no meaning beyond that."
-
Juniper's caution slowly began to turn into curiosity, her ears twitching. "Shattering...? What is that?" she said hesitantly.
-
Hydron simply lifted a hand and tapped on the glass casing on his upper chest that held that the glowing shards "[Answer] Each of my machines holds one of those shards, and though them I may comand them
-
Juniper tilted her head ever so slightly in curiosity, blinking at Hydron. "So you've just been here for ages, doing, well, nothing?"
-
Hydron gestured to himself "[ANSWER] Built this. Built others. But mostly slept.
-
Juniper sat down on the floor, looking up at Hydron with an expression of intrigue. "Doesn't it ever get tiresome?"
-
Hydron tilted his head down at her "[ANSWER] I don't know anything else." He said
-
Juniper turned her head to look outside, gesturing to the entrance. "There's lots of things outside of this factory," she said. "Like snow, and birds, and berries. Things like that."
-
Hydron made a quiet rumbling sound. "[RESPONSE] I've never tried leaving." He then gestured to the tubes of glowing fluid going into his back "[EXPLAINATION] Without this, my physical body would wither away within a week or so. I can hold a months supply in this body, but after that I would need to resupply"
