The voice cackled for a few moments, seeming deeply pleased with itself. I will allow you one day to prepare. But when night falls...I will withdraw my protection. Good luck, and may the gods be with-. Oh right, you ARE the gods! Well, may luck be with you, because nothing else will be.
Every torch, candle, and hearth exploded with flames of ever-changing color, revealing a lengthy table of delicious and mouth-water platters of food. A pale, faintly glowing girl was sitting by one of tall pillars in the hall, making the skeleton of a mouse skitter around on the floor.
This seems like a good time to eat and restore your energy from the long journey, and to get to know your fellow gods. -
Eve was rather frustrated. Who wouldn't be, during this situation? One day to prepare, one day to prepare... how should they prepare? Out of anyone in their family, they were they god who was the least talented at preparing for things. Obviously, it wasn't the most praised trait, and they've been working on it, but it's been difficult for them.
They needed to come up with a plan. Maybe they could use their illusions to make it seem like they weren't there, giving them help and hope for escape? That might work. But then again, Eve had always been more talented in creating objects for illusions. They sighed and ran a hand through their short white hair, which was soft as the clouds. Time to get to work. -
Summer stood in a dark spot in the room, their glossy white eyes flickering with fear. With a sense of agony of the evil to come. Their non-binary bracelet glowed brightly against the darkness, illuminating their young-looking face. They knew that they wouldn't stand a chance against the creatures outside this forsaken room. Summer wasn't powerful at all, and they knew this. They've always known.
They stared at the food in front of them and their fellow gods with a sense of wonder. It didn't look like anything Summer normally ate. But then again, they ate mortal food more often than not.
Summer crossed their arms and fixed their gaze on everyone else as their bracelet dimmed slightly. -
Edelweiss made the mouse skitter around, doing backflips every now and then. She had been brought to the castle some time ago, but she couldn't remember how long ago it had been. She heard footsteps and breathing and looked up, losing her focus and causing the skeletal mouse to crumble into a pile of dust.
"Who are you?" she said in a soft, but strangely echoing voice, slowly getting to her feet and inching behind the pillar. -
Elric hauled a bag over his shoulder, face pale with fright. A great booming voice had just sounded; but as quick as it had come, it has gone. Gods? What had it been talking about? Supposed, it wasn’t for him. Still, though, that bone-chilling voice would be in his dreams tonight.

Cats flew around the tables and uh ate everyone's silverware and without noticing the others there got started eating the plate that held the food the one called Summer- though they didn't know that yet- was staring at. And accidentally ate a bit off actual food and started coughing. "Ew, people food, grosssssss, need more like metal or wood or something..."

CATS GO NOM NOM LMAO))
Summer snapped out of their thoughts at the black cat in front of them, tilting their head. "You eat. . .o-objects?" They asked, uncrossing their arms and fidgeting with their fingers nervously. Oh god, I'm talking to an older god. Stay calm. Don't. freak. out- They thought as their damaged wings stiffened out of fear and anxiousness, their bracelet glowing way brighter than before. -
Cats looked up. "Oh, hi, didn't see you there. Uh, well, I can eat both but objects taste better."

He tied the rims of the sack onto a nearby barrel, wiping his brow with his forearm in spite exhaustion. Relieved he had finished his work, he turned head and heel before going off into the Dyrewood.
The Dyrewood had always been like a home to him; despite his parents warding him away from it convincing him it was dangerous, he knew it wasn’t. It was a lovely dappled forest with a heavenly tinge to it. The crickets chirped and the birds sang; it was only night when it became eerily quiet. -
Cats proceeds to shadoport to Dyrewood, sensing fabric, not knowing what it is but takes a small bite out of the bag. "Ooh fabric."
-
He strode out into the opening, a little man made hut nearby which he had carved out of a spruce tree trunk, fine and young.

Srenyx popped in. She thought there was a welcoming party, including relevantly good chicken and maybe a cake? But she was not very surprised by what she saw. Not very surprised. "What in the castle are you doing? You should be eating food, not forks!" she said sternly at the gods.
