George shrugged, nodding. "I guess so," He said, looking back at Clay. \

Clay exhaled and rested his chin on his knees, staring at the wall as he lost himself in his thoughts.

"Should I call her? Like, now?" George asked.

“If you want to,” Clay responded in a somewhat monotone voice, still somewhat zoned out.

"Clay, you okay?" George said, swinging his legs over again and walking over to the younger male.

“Mhm,” Clay hummed in response, not entirely having heard what his boyfriend had said.

George sat on the bed next to him, running a hand through Clay's hair. "Baby, look at me,"

Clay stayed still for a moment before looking over, meeting George’s eyes. “Sorry, I uhm, I’m just distracted, I guess.”

"Distracted with what?" George said, tilting his head slightly.

“Thoughts,” Clay replied quietly, hugging his legs to his chest again and resting his chin on his knees.

"Thoughts of what?" George pressed, reaching over and gently grabbing Clay's hand.

“About you. What you’re going through with your mom.“ Clay said, twining his fingers with George’s and gently squeezing his hand. “I just worry, is all.”

George exhaled, nodding. "I get that. But it'll all be okay, as long as we're together, okay?"

Clay looked over at George and nodded, leaning against the brunette’s side.

George smiled, wrapping an arm around Clay. "Thank you for worrying about me, but it'll be fine."
